Took a trip during spring break, my bad. Looking for a place to spend 2 nights ocean front that would not cost an arm and a leg. Happened to mention this while at a local shop/store and the lady at the establishment suggested we try Chateau Mar Beach Resort. So glad we did. We had an ocean front room for under $80 a night. As I mentioned earlier we were at the beach during spring break so yes, it was loud at night but when we turned on the fan it helped to drowned out the noise and we slept. The bed was comfortable, had seating inside and outside of room to dine at should we desire, also had a regular size refrigerator. The water pressure was acceptable. For the money I think we lucked out. This is an older place so if you want all of the bells and whistles this is not for you. If you want a nice place to lay down your head at night, have a coffee right outside your door this is the place. This place is on the beach, what more can you ask for:) Would definately stay here again.

I have travelled extensively, all over the world, and this is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. In the first room they put us in, the deadbolt didn't work and the mini fridge door wouldn't seal because there was so much ice built up in the freezer section that the freezer door wouldn't close, which didn't allow the main door to close properly. That room had a shared balcony and we asked to be moved to a room with a private balcony, which they did with no upgrade charge, but other than having a second bed which we didn't need and a kitchenette area, it really wasn't an upgrade. The overhead light didn't work, the front door rattled when the back slider was open, the seat on the rolling chair was worn off, there was a hole in the bench at the end of the bed, a piece of the veneer missing from the bed frame, the base of the table on the left side of the king bed was chipped and there was a piece of foam that was supposed to seal the slider door hanging off the frame. The lamp by the double bed didn't work, the phone didn't work and there were no instructions about how to call the front desk, the shower had a rain shower head with not enough pressure and there was no cable remote so no guide channel, making it impossible to see what was on TV. The bathroom sink was outside the bathroom, there was barely any water pressure, barely any change in temperature no matter what we did and there was not enough counter space. We stayed two nights and the morning after the first night I left a $2 tip for the maid. When we came back at the end of the day the money was gone, but all that had been done was the waste bin in the bathroom had been emptied and there were a few new towels. The bed wasn't made, the empty tissue box that we left outside the door wasn't replaced, there was a coffee maker, with some packets of stirrers, creamer and sugar, but we didn't get new ones after we used the ones that were there, the trash bin in the kitchenette was not emptied, the bath mat was removed and not replaced, one hand towel was taken away and washcloths were left next to the sink outside the bathroom. And if all that wasn't enough... we requested a late checkout for 11 and had brought our big suitcases down to the car right around 11 and were planning to go back up for the rest of our stuff before checking out. We were gone less than 5 minutes and when I got back up to the room there were two people in the room, a man and a woman and I discovered that they had started going through our stuff! They said they thought we had checked out and left the items there, but they must have gone in there no more than 2 or 3 minutes after we walked out of the room and we hadn't officially checked out yet. If someone has JUST left a room, and not even officially checked out yet, and there is still stuff in there, I would think someone going in would say oh, maybe they're coming back for the rest, I'll give them 5 or 10 minutes and then if they don't come back,

Mi marido y yo nos gustan las habitaciones en la playa, y también nos gustan las habitaciones en Hiltons, por lo que este hotel es perfecto para nosotros. Se ha convertido en nuestro lugar para permanecer cuando visitamos la playa Ormond. Me encanta la cocina mini que teníamos en nuestra habitación. Location was good. Right on the beach and easy access to stores, restaurants, etc. We had a ground floor unit facing the ocean. R. 104, I think. The key lock box was rusted and corroded and partially hanging off the wall. It was difficult to open. The towels were filthy! I had to wash the kitchen utensils I used after requesting a clean sponge. The sponge provided was grungy and fit for the trash. I wanted to use their drip coffee maker instead of the Keurig….bad idea because it was gross with dirt and residual coffee grinds. Even the Keurig coffee cups, looked old, the foil lids were frayed and dusty/dirty. The oceanside door to our room was rusted, and that area was dark at night. No outside lighting when exiting to the parking lot via the oceanside door. Some of the electrical outlets inside were missing outlet covers and other outlets were overloaded with cords belonging to the unit. Even though staff was remote and a phone call away, I would not choose this hotel again. Sometimes staff were onsite working making it easy to get some replacement items. I know salt water can cause damage to finishes, however, a fresh coat of paint and an extensive cleaning, followed up with thorough cleanings and routine maintenance would work wonders for this place.
