For $385/night…..this hotel was a not up to even a one star rating. Check in went okay but the guest room was horrible. The TV had no instructions and did not broadcast national stations…Spectrum is the provider. The toilet seat was broken. The exhaust fan did not work. The drapes were barely hanging and did not close (4-6 inch gap) so the lights from the parking lot and I85 were glaring through the room all night. The bolt on the door latch was barely hanging so little security there. Overall a dump and Auburn graduation drove up the price. I would never stay there again!

Over the years I have traveled a great deal with work. I have spent many nights in hotel rooms all across this country. I did something at this hotel that I have never done before – that is walk out within 30 min of checking in. The first room we were assigned did not have a working air conditioner. I requested a different room. Once we entered our new room I noticed a half eaten sandwich on the counter – and then – pulled back the sheets a little on the bed and noticed that the bed had been slept in. Once I pulled the sheets all the way back I noticed not only had the bed been slept in, but the sheets were dirty….very dirty. These sheets had dirt, blood, and other “substances”. My family and I immediately grabbed our bags and left. I did not care that it was past 10 PM, there was no way we were staying there. I have stayed in this hotel previously with no issues – but I will not being staying there again

Went on a roadtrip with my daughter and this was our first stop. I was looking for places not too far off of the highway, offered breakfast and had good reviews. CONS: First impression was not a good one with the moment we walked in the hotel door there was a heavy smell of smoke/vapes. Rooms were clean but definitely dated with a few minor repairs needed. Pros: Decent Breakfast Close to the highway but you couldn't hear that traffic

Room smells terrible!!!! It was the most horrible smell and makes me gag and I feel like I could throw up. The lady at the front desk was unhelpful and said I can’t do anything to help you. I simply do not want to stay in a room that is making me sick and I want my money back because I can’t stay here.

Called morning of 4/15/24 to check on a room for that night because we were driving from middle Georgia to middle Tennessee that day and decided to drive to Opelika for the night because of all the dangerous storms coming thru Alabama. I specifically asked about a handicap room with 2 beds and a walk-in shower because my mom is handicapped and cannot use a tub shower. I was assured my room would have a walk-in shower. When we arrived at the hotel was told none of the 2 bed rooms have walk-in showers. Only room with a walk- in shower is the handicap room with a king sized bed. Hotel only has 1 room and it was reserved. When we arrived it was too late to cancel. Floors in hotel very slippery because it was raining. Got into our room and bathroom floor was so slippery (from whatever they cleaned it with) that my mom almost fell. I went to front desk to ask that the bathroom floor be cleaned so not slippery. I ended up cleaning it myself to get as much slick off as possible. Also room very musty smelling. I would not recommend this location.

Very loud construction going on at 9 am on a Sunday morning outside our room woke us up. Housekeeping tried to barge in the room twice before 10 am when checkout is at 11! The breakfast was nothing special waffles fruit toast eggs & biscuits. The location. Is good.

We stayed here in the fall, and while the hotel wasn’t 5 star, it was a good nights sleep at a reasonable price. However, this time when we checked in we weren’t so fortunate. We’d only been in the room for an hour or so when we started seeing the roaches. I attempted to call the desk , but the phone didn’t work. We decided we didn’t want to stay in that hotel and proceeded to the front desk. When we told the desk agent we had roaches, her response was “did you mess with anything in the room?” We booked through third party, so we were also in contact with them explaining our request for refund. The help desk from ******* called to talk with the desk agent and she hung up on him. I would not recommend.

Nasty, dated, soiled furniture….Ripped lampshades and cold lightbulbs…Desolate, dystopian surroundings…The bed was actually clean and comfortable, though. And the staff was accommodating. But overall, be prepared to manage your expectations.

The outside is being remodeled, but don't let that fool you! It's a dirty, old dump. The beds aren't half bad, and the sheets seem clean, but the pool is never cleanand the rooms aren't sanitary as far as basic housekeeping goes. Here's the best part. The chain to our toilet wasn't functioning properly. We fixed it a few times, but decided to let the front desk know it wasn't working when we were on our way out, and the front desk guy, in-between texting, and eating, got up and offered us a plunger. I truly thought he was kidding. Nope!!! He actually was about to hand me a plunger to repair the hotel room toilet, not to mention the fact that a chain can't be fixed by plunging the crap out of it. Pun intended. The "breakfast" is always stale, the pretty water container is never cold, and they won't allow extra blankets. It's a nightmare that we have been to a few times for convenience, but absolutely never again. It's quite possibly the worst Comfort Inn I've ever stayed in.
