Grand Hotel Adriatic

We spent two ignhts in Grand hotel Adriatic and our overall experience is very good. The hotel is located around 10 minutes from downtown Opatjia, but the walk is really pleasant, with many nice buildings on your way.The hotel room was normal, comfortable, but the garden view was a bit awful, just a parking place.The view from the lobby and the restaurant is wonderful, especially early in the morning or at sunset. The hotel staff was a little unfriendly, not rude but without a smile...The breakfast buffet was great! A wide variety of everything, especially for me who I like sweets for breaksfast, there were pancakes, waffles, muffins,crepes,croissants and many more more!The evening buffet was also very good, with fresh pizzas made in front of us,with less options than in breakfast, but quite sufficient. Since we were travelling with a group with other Greeks, the hotel manager allowded us to use a large room next to the lobby to organize a greek dance night;it was a nice gesture on his behalf. Two tips!If you use the elevators to get to restaurant, don't go to ground floor(0) and climb the stairs. Stop at first floor, turn left and you enter the restaurant. Just before the restaurant there is a gift shop.It has many souvenirs from Croatia and Opatjia, in very reasonable prices and the lady who runs it is by far the best person we met throughout our journey in Croatia.Very friendly, with a smile on her face all the time!Unfortunately I don't remember her name, but congratulations to the hotel manager for putting her in the right place!

The spa photos on the website are stunning, but, unfortunately, the actual experience is not even close to what you might expect. Try to imagine at least 100 people in those photos, and you'll get a more realistic picture. The spa is consistently overcrowded, with six people squeezed into one jacuzzi at all time, far too few sunbeds, and no space in the adults-only top-floor spa even after a long wait. The sauna is similarly packed, making it nearly impossible to find a place to sit. Overall, the spa is by far too small for a hotel of this size. If you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable spa experience, you might want to consider other hotels.

Amazing food, it is worth visiting for food alone. Champagne with breakfast, huge selection of food. Very comfy rooms (we stayed in new part; Adriatic II). Wellness is good, amazing view from saunas and relax zone. Very friendly yet professional wellness receptionist Enja.

We were on a Titan coastal Croatia tour and this was our first hotel. Room was lovely with view of the sea. Breakfast had good choice and buffet eve meal was very good quality. Pool inside and out with good views. Just didn't like the very loud music all around the hotel, but a short walk to the town and along the coast.

This is one of the most popular and oldest hotels in Opatija. It should be one of the best... But what I experienced was terrible. There were bedbugs in the room (it's room 560), I received almost no apology from the hotel staff. When I wrote an email on the recommendation of the reception manager, I waited 7 days for an answer. It's better that they didn't even send it, because it's not an apology, but a mockery of the guests. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone again.

It was a trip to the lovely hotel, but we arrived early. And we had a hours before reservation and desired to go to the beach. But the fast way way closed because “we are not guests at this hotel” and we can go with fats way with our colleges who already had the reservation in this hotel, so hotel personal like Senida, told: u are not our guests, and go the long way to the beach” ohhhh okay, we not ur guests next 2 hours, but it’s not client orienting as for me and my colleges, I think. So, I’m not recommended this hotel personal support. Specially Senida. Thanks
