NOTES TO THE MANAGER I will NEVER stay at Whispering Woods again and will warn everyone I know from doing so. Here's what I encountered: The room (125) stunk to high heavens when we walked in. Smelt like a wet, dead animal. It was filthy. Cob webs at the ceiling corners, trash on the carpet throughout and a quarter-sized piece of thick pane glass in the middle of the floor beside the bed. This room had obviously not been cleaned or vacuumed in a very long time. The bathroom was a disaster: Mold all around the perimeter of the shower inset caulk, there was a wad of black hair on the floor and trash all over the floor, the grout was filthy and the toilet was very sluggish in flushing. The sliding glass door had clearly been missing the roller wheels for some time, so it made the door inoperable. The hanging rack was so low to the ground, I couldn't even hang a dress or my husbands pants on it so we had to use the luggage cart in an already very cramped room. The upholstered chair was so stained, I was afraid to even sit on it. The curtains kept hanging up on the slider when we attempted to open them. The so called free hot breakfast was supposed to be served at 7 a.m., but the Tree Top Grill didn't open until 7:15, delaying our morning plans. Now, having laid this out, you should know that I've been a hotel general manager. I know all too well that it's hard work. I can tell you that if my regional manager had EVER found any of the infractions I listed above, I would have been terminated on the spot. I would have terminated any housekeeper on the spot for this lack of cleaning. You are NOT doing your job. Every single room should be inspected BY YOU every day after the housekeeping staff has finished because the buck stops with you. You're supposed to be in charge and have a handle of what's happening in this hotel. You're obviously not doing that and that's why the housekeepers are doing such a deplorable job. They know you're not checking up on the quality of their work. Your reception area was beautiful, but is highly deceptive as to what's behind that green door. On the upside, your front desk clerks were very nice and helpful, but I was so shocked and disappointed with the room that I will never risk staying there ever again. I intend to use the photos I took of this mess of a room on social media to warn others of my experience. I think you may have more on your plate than you're able, or willing, to handle. Judy Logan
