The Emerald Iguana Inn

We spent three nights in the Treehouse at Emerald Iguana. This lovely inn is a half mile from the touristy part of Ojai, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our room was about the reception but we did not hear a sound. The Inn was really chill, comfortable and welcoming. We loved our time here and will come back.

Clean charming cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing week. All he little details were remembered and the staff were helpful and pleasant. We could not think of anything to complain about! We will definitely be coming back to this lovely resort in Ojai.

Soul-comforting charm! This petite property is a delight to eyes, ears, and nose. The gardens are lush and tranquil. The clever architecture and winding paths create blessed privacy. I stayed in the Treehouse: a huge room with views, a fireplace, a towering ceiling, and a claw-foot tub ideal for soaking. The breakfast room next to the lovely pool area boasts many games and, for a touch of nostalgia, a great library of DVDs. Can't wait to return.

The door to our room was next to the pool and I know there were others that surrounded that central focus as well. I think there might have been a couple of other rooms a bit removed. In any case it didn’t seem to matter because this isn’t the kind of place where you’re going to find a lot of kids frolicking in the pool. It’s pretty much a couples getaway oasis located at the end of a residential street just a few blocks away from the main road in town. The room had sort of a mission style feel with a cute little patio area. The property is extremely well tended to but they should take care of spider webs on the patio umbrellas.

Just checked out. We mentioned the fireplace in our room was not working as well as the DVD player. (We had alerted them to the fireplace the evening before and they said they would check and we never hear back). The woman at the front desk was completely unapologetic and told us we should have 'connected the hdmi cable and next time let us know before 3pm about the fireplace." We didn't even check in before 3! She essentially said 'go F yourself' with a smile on her face. Left us with a really bad taste. It's too bad how an interaction like that can ruin the whole experience.

Adorable little hotel tucked away in a neighborhood. Clean and friendly staff. The rooms all have a different theme and it’s only .5 miles from EVERYTHING in downtown Ojai. The price was relatively reasonable and we loved our time there. Would book again!
