The Barn at Killin B&B

A real highlight on our A2O adventure. Hugh and Dwayne were the perfect hosts sensational food and great company. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. We had a fantastic meal with the world’s best duck fat potatoes served with incredible slow cooked lamb and roast veggies washed down with a wonderful Pinot. Great company and conversation with Hugh and Dwayne joining us for dinner. You guys are simply the best and deliver the best experience possible. This was a wonderful place to stay. So original and social. The food was excellent, the rooms divine, and the company exquisite. A great start to our bike trip. We really enjoyed the chance to meet and socialize with the hosts and other bikers.

Thank you Hugh and Dwayne for a wonderful experience. The Barn is superb but it was the family feel that made the day. Every little need preempted. The iced tea on arrival was delicious, as were the nibbles before dinner, the dinner and the breakfast and packed lunch. So pleased that we were able to include you on our Alps to Ocean journey.

The friendly hospitality was amazingly exceeded by the immaculate accommodations and Michelin quality food. The rooms were fabulous and each with their own full bath. The common areas were quite comfortable. The setting is stellar as well. The hosts, Hugh and Dwayne, were quite friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

What a warm and inviting environment awaited us. We entered the barn and were greeted by both Hugh and Dwayne. The decor is sumptuous and is fastidiously maintained throughout. The Barn was warm and inviting. Reading on the couch while being warmed by the open fire was a relaxing experience. The Barn sits in a picturesque setting. Views from Lake Middleton to mountaintops are framed by each and every window. Hugh and Dwayne are almost invisibly efficient. They are very professional, allowing you to feel pampered at every turn. They have an extensive knowledge of the area and, if asked, will share details on the must-see and do activities suited to your wants and needs. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in, allowing us to truly relax. The breakfasts and dinners were something to look forward to. Everything was of a consistently high standard. Thank you, Hugh and Dwayne, for a very memorable stay.

We stayed here for one night for a birthday celebration. This is one of our best BnB stays in all of New Zealand! The BnB was very tastefully decorated with a beautiful blend of new and antique furniture and high quality furnishings with great attention to detail. The hosts Hugh and Dwayne were very welcoming and we had a great time sharing a meal with them in the evening and chatting by the cosy open fire. The food was excellent both the evening meal and the breakfast and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
