This was our first long holiday, since last years weekend away. It's central to all the places, we wanted to do in the city. Even though it was busy (3.30pm), the reception staff 100% on the ball. We were assigned room 219. So that everyone knows, all room have names etc from H. C. Andersen or others (I think🤔 ) on the doors. Going in the room was hot, and that's when my husband told me, there is no air conditioning. Now we've been to hotels in Germany, Austria etc, and all have had air con. So I was surprised that most of the hotels in Denmark doesn't 🤯. I told my husband, as the weather forecast stated that there will be a heatwave. We couldn't keep the window open when we were out, or at night. Fyi there was a fan in the room ( that really didn't help). So we went back out to the reception, to ask if we could change rooms. We was given a new key card (317), to look at a room on the 3rd floor. This was better, so we moved all our gear, and returned room (219) card. (Another fyi) when you leave the room, you take the key card out of the slot near the door, that cuts most of the power off. So we couldn't keep the fan on, but the window was open. 219 room's bathroom, was all new with auto sensors on the sink tap, but in room 317, it's was normal taps. And the bathroom was a bit dated. As I'm 5ft 4ins, it was really, and I mean rally hard to reach the taps at the far end of the bath tab. As the shower screen was not movable. I have to get my husband 6ft 3ins, to reach in (umm after the rain shower wet him. The switch over from shower to bath was kinda broken), to turn on the tap for the bath. I was surprised once again, that there were on mini fridge (luckily we brought our cooler box with us), or any toiletries, apart from the hand soap. If you mean any you either have to buy at the reception (did smell nice), or to the nearby shops to buy some. I do like a try/buy pillow catalogue, pity there wasn't one for the mattress. I'm sorry, but like the name of our room Princess and Pea. The mattress were rock hard, and both of us had back pains (that we both had to take pain killers during our stay). Car parking, is not the hotel one, but the city one. It's the cheapest and right next to the hotel, but my husband said it was strange that it wasn't hotel parking. As you have to be lucky to get a parking spot (and pray that there are no double parking, as one person parked over the line, so that no one can park next to them 😡). The rest of the parking lot in the city are costly. Oh and the buy one get a drink free offer, is not good. As the drinks are very expensive, more that a normal bar price...thank to the bar staff who made a not too strong drink, that my husband wanted me to try. Now for the good stuff. Like all the photos of the hotel, that's what you see...and wow! I couldn't stop taking photos lol. We booked for breakfast included, and we're glad we did. There were hot and cold to chose from. En un antiguo palacio que seguramente hace su escena cuando llega, este hotel está situado a diez minutos a pie del centro, a pocos pasos del teatro y de una zona verde anticuada. Nosotros dormimos en un cuarto triple muy grande y funcional, también dotado con un pequeño desengaño cómodo para dejar las maletas. Las camas eran bastante cómodas y espacios amplios. El baño limpio y muy grande. El mobiliario deja un poco a deseo con un mueble que necesitaría alguna revisión, pero al final para permanecer y simplemente puede ir. Conexión WiFi perfectamente funcional, desayuno en la amplia veranda, en la calle rica y variada. En el hotel y sobre todo en las habitaciones hay un poco de olor cerrado (dejamos la ventana abierta todo el día) y falta un pequeño bar de refrigeración para el agua. En general, sin embargo, una buena alojamiento con un precio razonable para los servicios ofrecidos y, en general, para las normas danesas.

We stayed in a secluded part of the hotel where we had to take an elevator from reception, walk a long corridor, take another elevator to reach our room. That being said, room and toilet was really clean. No grout on tiled wall. Kudos to the cleaning team. The room did not have air-con, kettle, tea/coffee nor minifridge. Was quite worried about temperature since temperature outside was pretty high. But luckily they have a small fan. Good enough to pull through. Being smack in the center of the city also means that its noisy. So it's give and take for the amazingly convenient location. Hotel also provides us with earplugs at the bedside. Breakfast has big variety. Good quality and fresh.

Modern and nice setup as this hotel is quite new. Breakfast was good with typical danish offerings. Could do with more options to be called a 4 or 5 stars hotel. Location is 15mins walk to city square area. Nearby with Netto supermarket. Room is ok but without toiletries and room amenities to comment. Basement parking but be WARNED that only park with hotel black floor label. As if driver can see the floor black label from driving position on first visit to the carpark. The carpark lots around the hotel entrance at carpark is NOT for guests. And you have to pay parking within 4 minutes in this carpark else you will be fined near to 120 Euro. Unlike all other carparks I visited in Denmark where I only pay upon exit for the hours parked. This is street parking underground! I wonder who can complete hotel check in 4 minutes including taking a lift up to the lobby reception. This carpark management is out to scam first timers to this place maybe to keep those carpark inspectors employed.

Con el festival de música, que tuvo lugar en la gloriosa ciudad de Odense, reservamos este hotel por 2 noches. El día siguiente nos mudamos a una opción aún más deprimente, pero ya he escrito sobre ella. En general, como hotel, bien problemas de piso. Pero gracias a la tripulación, sólo gracias a él mi maleta estaba en el segundo piso. El ascensor, por supuesto, no hay personal, pero la escalera es muy fresca. Puede cerrar incluso un baño no muy cómodo y el olor a la esplendor en la habitación. La habitación es bastante grande, no malo. Ah, lo que es enojado es una ducha. Había dos almas - una cuerda de la que la presión del agua se despertó una hora en una cuchara de té y una ducha grande que no es mejor que una cuerda pequeña. Sí, con la temperatura del agua que tienes que jugar. Oh! Acerca de la ubicación - es en un lugar que no hay nada cerca. Aunque, por supuesto, en un kilómetro, la tienda de Aldi y el único, probablemente, restaurante algo como Corrup Steakhouse. Aquí están cocinando allí perfectamente. La gente se ha vuelto muy feliz, pero yo escribo sobre ella. Quería comer y descansar más rápido, porque no había nada más que hacer allí, en este sordo. Pero esta mañana, el desayuno era tan escaso. Sabes, todo se conocerá en comparación. Si antes pensé que en España teníamos mal desayuno, ya que no nos habíamos entregado a las princesas para las hortalizas de la mañana, entonces cuando vino a la mañana, se fue a desear lo mejor! :) No he visto al personal, la comida no ha sido llenada, las placas han sido dejadas con pedazos pobres. Todo tratando de encontrar algo y finalmente ya se ha alegre. Vi, si sabes, Los frutos se cortan en forma de cocktail. Estas opciones pueden ser probadas muy a menudo en los hoteles. Pero aquí son las placas, llamadas chips, nunca las encontré. De alguna manera es inútil. Claro que puedes deshacerte, pero no lo tome por nada. En una palabra, Dinamarca nos conoció muy frío, pero perdona estas dos noches ...!

This was the second time we visited Knudsens Gaard and it was as good as the first time. The receptionists are very nice, helpful and service minded, the rooms are spacious, clean, are beautifully decorated and the beds are just excellent. The hotel is situated just of one of the largest roads in Odense, but they managed to keep the rooms quiet, you are not disturbed by road noise at all! The restaurant servers excellent food both for breakfast and dinner. All in all one of my best hotel experiences

Amalie B&B First impressions positive! Excellent host who responds when contacted, requested room change on ground floor, and had the perfect access, could park the car right outside the door! Outstanding The rooms were spacious, classic decor & set up, worked really well for us! Did look well used though but fine Bedroom had 4 beds, 2 singles & a bunk bed good for kids! Beds are a tad small but ok! Bed Side lamp, broken/not working, despite a reminder, not fixed! Living area spacious and generally clean NOTE: no broom or mop available, can’t clean the floor! Kitchen area, 2 ceran tops and a multipurpose micro wave/convection unit, useable but not for baking, (no instructions provided) No rubbish bags provided! (Only 3 for 5 days? ) House cleaning materials not provided! Example detergents (only dishwasher liquid available, 2 old rags, and 2 used scotchbright, pot scrubs) The chinaware well used but ok, glasses 2 sets 1 wine & 1 plastic! Cutlery incomplete, no soup spoons, but for 2 persons ok! Missing some basics like small cutting/carving knife’s! Else useable if no major cooking involved! Fridge worked fine, freezer needs to be de-iced! Pots & pans need some deep cleaning, no dishwasher! Bathroom good size, shower, no bath tub, but ok, only 2 medium & bath towels, Shampoo & Hand wash provided NO SOAP / BODY-WASH, bring your own! But good size and bright! Iron & Ironing board provided on request! Overall good stay, price/value is fine! Would come back!
