What an excellent experience! We stayed at The Lavender House for 1 night, and wished we could have stayed for longer. You still get the Staffs' undivided attention. The Staff are incredibly professional, friendly and can not do enough to help you. The Chefs were outstanding - the menu caters for Western tastes, however if you ask him to cook locally he can let his colours shine and produce some exceptionally tasty curries and condiments if you can handle the spice. The setting of The Lavender House is in the middle of a tea plantation estate, nestled with a stunning vista gazing straight down the mountainsides. The pictures displayed really are exactly what you can expect to get. As expected accommodation is modern, clean, tidy and full of personal touches. You will be spoil for choices of where you can dine (in your house/private terrace/communal terrace/inside). The history of Lavender House is very interesting, it was built by a Scottish tea plantation owner in the 1800s. There is still a preserved square of wall where guests from 1860 - 1940s would have their hight marked and sign their name as a memento. Simon & Tamara.
