The Lavender House by Reveal

We enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Lavender House. We had the entire place to ourselves and were upgraded to the main suite. This was a beautiful room with views across the garden and valley. Saman and his team looked after our every request and served us with attention and thoughtfulness. Saman booked several day trips and came with us to ensure we got the best from the experience. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent and we loved the chef guiding us through the hot stone cooking dinner. The grounds are immaculate and pool was very clean. Overall this is a great location for the highland tea plantation area and can’t recommend the Lavender House highly enough.

Truly a calming, serene experience . Kudos to Nayanajith the Resort Manager and the Executive Chef for curating a truly personalized experience. Loved every bit of our stay! This is a must go location for anyone who loves nature. The service was superb and the food was delicious.

The Lavendar House is a lovely old estate bungalow , the old Hellebode Estate’s Superintendent’s Bungalow I believe, that has had a sympathetic renovation and is open to the discerning public by the Reveal Organisation. It’s always a good start when you get upgraded to the master suite and that’s what happened,to us here. The rooms, the ambiance, the service, the food was all top class and you could walk for miles through the tea estate. We had a fantastic time thanks to Nayanajith and his staff and their excellent hospitality. Nayanajith offered us the Lavender Hoyse Tuk-Tuk to take us to the Hellbodde tea factory but we declined given we had had a few of these before. If you e never been before it’s a great experience. Lavendar House gets our seal of approval 🥹

Absolutely incredible service from start to finish. Our butler Harshana helped with all our requirements and chef Shantha produced exquisite, bespoke meals for us each evening! What an excellent experience! We stayed at The Lavender House for 1 night, and wished we could have stayed for longer. You still get the Staffs' undivided attention. The Staff are incredibly professional, friendly and can not do enough to help you. The Chefs were outstanding - the menu caters for Western tastes, however if you ask him to cook locally he can let his colours shine and produce some exceptionally tasty curries and condiments if you can handle the spice. The setting of The Lavender House is in the middle of a tea plantation estate, nestled with a stunning vista gazing straight down the mountainsides. The pictures displayed really are exactly what you can expect to get. As expected accommodation is modern, clean, tidy and full of personal touches. You will be spoil for choices of where you can dine (in your house/private terrace/communal terrace/inside). The history of Lavender House is very interesting, it was built by a Scottish tea plantation owner in the 1800s. There is still a preserved square of wall where guests from 1860 - 1940s would have their hight marked and sign their name as a memento. Simon & Tamara.

Great location with a marvelous view. Very hospitable service with comfortable spacious rooms. We did like the experience of cooking the dinner on hot stones. Highly recommend this place to those who are willing to escape from big cities rush and stress.

Absolutely loved this place when me and my wife went on our honeymoon. It was the most amazing hotel with amazing staff, with special thanks to Nayanajith and his team who treated us so well. Highlights were most definitely an afternoon tea in the tea plantation watching the sunset with the most amazing views. A special place, would advise for a couple looking for a romantic stop when travelling in the tea district of Sri Lanka!

I was at Lavender House for three nights from 28th to 31 st December 2023 with my family. We had a wonderful stay. The view was breathtaking. Our bungalow was slightly away from lavender house. They have started giving this out very recently. It was very specious. Very large living and dining area. Kids enjoyed the large flat TV and JBL Place was clean. The view from the swimming pool was amazing. The breakfast was served outside when rains were away. It was a pleasant experience. The last night dinner which we cocked by ourselves using a special heated stone provided by the hotel was a memorable experience. The manager and all staff at the bungalow were very friendly and courteous. They cocked meals according to our likes. Manager arranged us a visit to nearby tea factory and Kotmale dam. Thank you team Lavender for arranging a most comfortable stay and giving us unforgettable memories. I would definitely love to go back there and also try out other locations in Reveal Collection. A wonderful and most memorable family Christmas at the Lavender House! A beautiful colonial bungalow in a stunning tea plantation location. Friendly and helpful staff who even did our washing, made little Christmas cakes for us and gave our two toddlers toy tuk tuks which were a huge hit! The chef was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful high tea and a Christmas Day 'hot stone' cooking experience and karaoke evening! A Christmas in Paradise! Huge thanks to Nayanajith who kindly retrieved and couriered my pyjamas which I had left behind, to our next destination.
