The Plains Green

We have stayed for the anniversary there. Extremely pleasant stay, there were no other bookings made during our stay so it was very peaceful and we got to have the whole place without any disturbances and awkward conversations. They have had a flower bouquet and some complementary snacks for our stay, few other decorations in the room as well as a candlelight dinner. There were so many varieties in food items, and really like the jams they serve as they are their own. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. You can get mountains bikes for go around, also there is a tractor visit to one of their farms , it’s a great experience.

We had a fantastic stay at The Plains Hotel in Ambewela. The experience was very enjoyable, and the comfort of the accommodations truly stood out. The rooms were supplied with thermal blankets, which made the chilly nights warm and cozy. Additionally, the cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, which added a personal touch to our visit. The views from the property are absolutely stunning, offering a serene and picturesque escape that we thoroughly appreciated. The tranquillity and beauty of the surroundings made it a perfect getaway. However, there is room for improvement. While the food was good, having more dining options would enhance the overall experience. Additionally, the drive from the main road to the hotel was quite rough, which could be a concern for some travellers. Despite these minor drawbacks, we had a memorable stay and would recommend The Plains Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Ambewela with breathtaking views, warm hospitality, and exceptionally comfortable accommodations.

Overall this is boutique type hotel with a great view. Staff is friendly and nice. Restaurant offers limited choices but food was tasty. This is the best view Nuwaraeliya I have seen so far. I wouldn’t mind to stay here one more time. Access road to hotel is bit difficult from the Abewela main road but it’s less than 150m. Overall I would recommend this place anyone who is looking for calm and pleasant stay with a great view.

I had a great stay at the plains. The staff were friendly and diligent, always ready to help with a smile. The view from my room was serene and beautiful. Additionally, the rooms were clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend! Special thanks to Ilango

We had an exceptional experience at The Plains Green Bungalow in Nuwara Eliya. The captivating ambiance, exceptional hospitality, and delectable cuisine made our stay truly unforgettable.💗 The beds were furnished with thermal blankets that provided cozy warmth during the nights. The bathrooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and stocked with fresh towels. The culinary delight surpassed our expectations, with the use of ingredients sourced from their own garden. Additionally, the tractor tour of their fields offered a marvelous experience. There was a guider who clearly explained about their Strawberry farm too. Special commendation goes to Mr. Ilango, whose support and friendliness throughout our stay were noteworthy.⭐️ A small suggestion for the management: Consider renewing the road near the hotel. Apart from that, everything else was superb. Once again a big shout-out to the entire staff and management! Thank you.✨ Without a doubt, we look forward to returning. Highly recommended!!🫶🏻

Our stay at "The Plains" in Ambewela was simply incredible. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
