Hotel Royal Bora Bora

Excelente estructura, desayuno incluido, playa privada con muelle desde donde parten las excursiones. Recomendado si no quieres gastar miles de € en resorts de lujo, que sólo cuentan con bungalows sobre el agua.

Perfecta relación precio-rendimiento. En la mejor ubicación de la isla principal, a poca distancia de la playa de Matira. Pero la playa del hotel en sí es aún mejor. Me gustó la limpieza, la playa, el buen desayuno, el personal agradable, el precio. Hay una tienda barata cerca. No me gustó el hecho de que todo sea de pago (excepto el desayuno), al menos el transporte debería ser gratuito si es transporte público. Muy mal wifi.

They want to do green wash… with the message “don’t change your towels every day” actually they spend a lot of water for clean sidewalk every morning at 9:00 (very noise) and there are only food impotated… Location at 10 minutes from vaitape (where do you arrive from airport for free) but the taxi for hotel is too much expensive 3000cpf. Room ok. Restaurant no. Staff very rude.

Habíamos reservado el Royal Bora Bora porque es muy bonito en la playa y tiene piscina. Ahora nos asignaron otro hotel y teníamos que caminar hasta allí todos los días. Sin embargo, es inaceptable que sólo en el lugar nos hayan dicho que el hotel estuvo cerrado durante 10 días debido a daños causados ​​por el agua. Cuando hicimos el check out no recibimos recibo porque el hotel que teníamos que coger no se hacía responsable. Sólo tuvimos que presentar y firmar nuestra tarjeta de crédito sin copia de lo que pagamos. Es inaceptable que *********** no nos haya informado dónde terminaríamos y nuestra familia tampoco lo sepa. Exigimos un reembolso adecuado. Si esta es la nueva forma en que lo manejan y simplemente asignan un hotel como mejor les parezca, ya no tiene sentido reservar con ***********. Nos esforzamos mucho en elegir el hotel adecuado y fue un esfuerzo en vano. De todos modos, no nos gusta el hecho de que cuando reservamos a través de ***********, no obtenemos puntos ni mejoras con el programa de bonificación Bonvoy, como hicimos recientemente en Abu Dhabi y Omán. Por lo tanto, lamentablemente ya no nos aporta ningún beneficio como muy buen cliente. Estamos decepcionados.

my husband and I spent 4 nights at the Royal Bora Bora. We really enjoyed it! It is a good alternative to the luxury and expensive hotels in the islands (although it is not cheap). No frills or any fancy touches here. It is a small and old fashion hotel, with old style rooms, dark wood, old beige ceramic floors, but well kept, spacious, clean and silent! Everything worked properly and the bed was comfortable. The everyday cleaning was very good, and the cleaning staff were very kind! All the employees were kind, smiling and helpful. I have to leave a special mention to a young lady at the reception that helped me to discover the name of several Polynesian songs that we heard one day at the Beach! Her name is Tepua!! The breakfast is plenty of options: fruits, juices, cheese and , several kinds of breads, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs… The beach in front is lovely!! Turquoise waters and unbelievable transparency. More than enough beach chairs. The location is very convenient, walk distance to some markets, restaurants and the gorgeous beach of Matira. The wifi worked very well during our visit. I really recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for an affordable, comfortable and with laid back atmosphere.

We were expecting a decent hotel considering that it is fully booked most of the time. It’s not even a 3 star! After check in, you are expected to take your own luggage to your room over rough pathways and across the road for 50 meters as there are no porters! The rooms are dark and dingy and smell of damp. The hotel needs a major refurbishment. The staff have an attitude problem, in particular the management. It’s as if you’re doing them a favour by staying there. The best example of this was when we had to make a table reservation before 5pm at reception for dinner which we were not informed of at check in. We booked a table for 8.30pm (the kitchen closes at 9pm) which is when we went to the dining room to be seated. After entering the dining room we were just waiting around as nobody came to serve us. Eventually a waitress came and asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside. We told her that we preferred a table outside to which she responded that she would get the table ready and call us. At this point the manageress Tanya very abruptly and rudely told us that we had to sit inside and to order our food immediately! We asked her for 5 minutes to look at the menu, but she told us we had to order within 2 minutes. She was being very loud and abrupt humiliating us in front of the other guests. She then sent another waitress to take our order and insisted that we also order our dessert at the same time. When the waitress walked towards the kitchen, we saw her and Tanya the manageress doing a hi five and laughing at us!! We noticed that 3 other customers ordered and were served their desserts at 8.55pm while we were kept waiting. We went to reception to complain to the duty manager and found that another French couple had the same complaint about Tanya and her attitude. We hope the General Manager Jaaiv who was not available takes serious action and responds to this complaint as to what measures he’s taken to rectify this issue in order to avoid it happening to other guests. Save yourself money and hassle and book a much better hotel up the road!!

Garden hotel rooms with a private beach area. Stayed here for a couple of days and they can help arrange private transfers (1750 xpf per person). Our room had AC and there is a filtered water station. They gave us leis upon arrival and they were very helpful at reception. We rented bikes for 4 hours from them (1500 xpf) - note that the bikes do have a basket but you brake by backpedaling. They don’t have any bikes with a side car but there were a couple with baby seats in the back. The reception takes cash and credit card. There’s free breakfast buffet with hot food and indoor/outdoor seating is available. There’s a bar as well where you can have snacks/order alcohol.

Hotel in our point of view limit three star. Stayed during our trip (five islands in Polynesia) in a 2 star Hotel in Moorea which at least had same level if not better. The absolute disaster is the service, waiting for 40 minutes for placing an order. We stayed there with few couple of friends (11 in total) and we like starting with an Aperitif before dinner. But ..... to do so you need the occassion to order but the staff prefer to play and look on their cell phones (during working time) instead of taking care of their guests. This hotel kills all very positive vibes and impressions we have from our trip from the other Islands.
