Absolutely lovely hotel with friendly staff. As a family we felt very welcomed straight away, and the pub hotel had such a nice atmosphere, as well as rustic decor from its history. We had a room overlooking the front with a double and single bed which was spacious for the three of us, with a nice bathroom. The food was gorgeous, where we had both dinner and breakfast there. It is recommended to prebook, which we did with the breakfast but when we arrived at check-in, we enquired about the dinner which they were able to reserve a table for us. From the hotel it is about 20 minute walk to Rest Bay Beach, which we did as was advised to leave the car where we parked due to parking spaces. We didn't find this a problem and enjoyed our walk to and from the hotel. We only had one night there but wished we were able to book another night. There will definitely be a next time!

Great people/ Staff and food . Friendly and welcoming . Lovely stay and helpful . Surrounding area was clean and people were friendly . Short 15 min walk to town and beach . Great meals and drinks all enjoyeable. Would definitely stay again and recommend..

Celebrating our 40th Anniversary. The double room was upgraded for us as a room available. Superb rapour with management to bar, kitchen, service staff and house keeping. Nothing we asked for was brushed off. Warm friendly atmosphere in a stunning listed pub/ hotel. Food very well cooked and a good price. Lagers are very expensive. But tasty. The view of the Green outside the pub full of familes drinking their take aways and having fun and interacting with customers from the pub over the ancient wall was heart warming. Thankyou.

Absolutely wonder staff. Room just as needed, twin room, comfortable and clean. Only negative, which is more a H&S issue, the shower is dangerously hot. There is no control, so will randomly get boiling hot. Seriously needs to be changed before someone gets seriously burnt. Would definitely return.

The pub its self was excellent the staff very polite and helpful the food was really good pub food parking was limited and the room was dated needs updating bed was clean and comfortable food prices and drinks very reasonably priced i recommend the double beef pate with belly pork and streaky bacon with monterey jack cheese

Staff lovely and friendly. The room was absolutely stunning well worth the price. Could not fault in any way. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning in the future the location is only 15 minute walk into Porthcawl 5 mins in the car.

Welcoming, clean, and comfortable with everything you’d need provided. A little shabby in places but excellent value for money. Located in a lovely village and offering a great quality restaurant as well. Perfect for a dining occasion stay over or little touring break away.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Rose & Crown. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and spacious and the locations was ideal for our visit. We had a visit to Porthcawl promenade which was within walking distance and had an enjoyable day out.

Food was very good and the staff were really friendly with good service . Rooms however were a bit basic with shower needing upgrading . The general toilets were in poor condition often being blocked. They need urgently sorting. Nice interior with a good atmosphere
