Beautiful lodge with great service. We loved the kayaks you could take out whenever you wanted. The pool was well-maintained and clean with crystal clear water. We arranged a snorkeling tour with them and everything was coordinated beautifully. It's a 15-20 minute walk to Andilana beach - very safe, passing many other tourist hotels along the way - it was a better beach for hanging out and other food options. We stayed in a stand-alone hut, which was cute and had good mosquito netting, though next time, I'd opt for a room with air conditioning.

The staff were very friendly and professional, they went out of their way to help me and organise trips to other Islands. Room I have was very comfortable with a/c and a huge terrace with a sofa and 2 chairs overlookincmg the sea. Perfect positioned for spectacular sunsets! The food is good and they were able to provide me with alternatives as the veggie menu, like most in Madagascar, is somewhat limited! The cocktail were delicious. The pool is a good size with a nice sun bed area and overlooks the sea. After a days snorkeling I still went for a swim in the evening! I stayed here for 5 days and will do so again if I ever return to Nosy Be. Thank you so much to all the staff especially Alex who took the time to make sure my day trips were tailored to my mobility needs.

I was initially recommended by PADI Travel, however I then contacted Vincenzo via Whats App and he was so helpful with all my many queries, and the logistics of getting to them that I was very comfortable in booking. As the name suggests this is a lodge, it is not "close to the shops" but this is Nosy Be. I don't want to be close to the shops, It is a 20 min walk to Andilana Beach if you want some souvenirs, or an alternate place to eat. The bar and restaurant really did not require any alternate place to eat, different menus every day and it was great to try so many new things with the most amazing flavours. That said, the chef was extra flexible and accommodating and once I had tried the fish fillet I did manage to get that, and the amazing ice cream several more times when it wasn't on the menu. This was the break I needed. Dive Centre, Bar and Restaurant, fantastic accommodation and nothing was too much trouble. A nice peaceful location away from it all, but also within easy reach of the popular attractions which had all been arranged for me before I arrived. These were also very flexible and when I had to move things at short notice this was done with no trouble

After a couple of weeks of adventures through Madagascar, the peace and beauty that the Emeraude Lodge has to offer was just what the doctor prescribed. The rooms are clean and have a very well functioning AC and WiFi. The balcony was very spacious and situated right by the water where I could enjoy spectacular sunsets each evening. Vincenzo is a very kind and gracious host and his staff take very well care of the guests. The breakfast is great, with everything that one could need: omelette, fresh juice, cereal, crèpes and fresh fruit. The lodge has a set dinner menu, and upon special request the chef prepared some wonderful lobster for me and my friends. All in all it was a great experience and I will be more than happy to return. Thanks to the team for the great stay and see you soon! Gianina

A really lovely, clean and beautifully situated lodge, nr Andilana beach, that offered us stunning r&r (rest and relaxation) for a week. Photos online are accurate and so we weren't disappointed. Simple but clean and sufficient rooms with a useful bar fridge and very necessary aircon, each room with a beautiful balcony for sunset watching and useful mosquito nets inside. The outside dining and pool area were wonderful. Food was rather basic and the menu repetitive with occasional electricity outages not helping the kitchen's service on occasions, but on the whole we were happy. A real plus was having the owner Vincenzo assist very enthusiastically with the day excursions out to TOTALLY MAGNIFICENT Nosy Komba (with its lemurs!) & Nosy Iranja (with its paradise white sand and turquoise waters). Not cheap (at euro 90pp) but worth it for a bucket list experience. Vincenzo also offers an airport shuttle saving us hassles. Local currency (ariary) can be drawn at the airport ATM on arrival. Have cash on you for the (lovely) market at Nosy Komba. In all - a great week's holiday on a real (non commercialized) Indian Ocean island which we will remember for a long time to come. Tks to Vincenzo and his team for making it extra convenient and enjoyable for us. And AIRLINK - the best way for sure to get there (direct from JoBurg)

“BEAUTIFUL, sublime, and glorious; Mild, majestic, foaming, free, - Over time itself victorious, Image of eternity!” From “The Sea” poem by Bernard Barton The above words describe the gorgeous scene I woke up to every morning during my stay at Emeraude Lodge. The tranquil atmosphere, quality facilities, helpful staff, spectacular views, scrumptious meals, among other things, added a sparkle to my experience that is incomparable to many other places I have visited. Except for one “day of doing nothing” (i.e. consisting of eating, tanning, swimming in the sea right in front of my room and sleeping in a hammock), I went on several day trips during my stay that were organised by the lodge. I was impressed by the interconnectedness of the lodge with the community during these trips. I would HIGHLY recommend ALL the trips that one can book via the lodge. The daytrips were super fun!! Thank you to Vincenzo and his team for making me feel welcome, and for going out of their way to make my stay superb! I highly recommend Emeraude Lodge! 11 out of 10!!

A gorgeous peaceful retreat. I stayed here solo before beginning my travel around Nosy Be and it was a calm away from the chaos! The bedroom was large, the bed ultra comfy and the view across the water simply stunning. The Wi-Fi and air con working well, the pool a lovely area and the restaurant served lovely home cooked meals. If I’d stayed longer I would like to have attended some of the day trips and excursions on offer. Thank you to Vincenzo and the team for making this feel like home .

Very well located and maintained. I also dived with the on site dive center, equipment was new and dive master very professional. What really makes the place stand out is the owner and host, the Wonderful Vincenzo. He has a great add t skill of understanding his guests needs and creating a tailored plan, from excursions to special dietary needs to arranging a visit to a local concert, you name it!

If you need to relax and recharge your batteries, this is the perfect place. Exceptional location, the lodge is very closed to the famous beach Andilana, where we actually went only several times, when we did not go in a trip or at the diving course. Excellent organization before and during the stay, mainly due to the great readiness to help and kindness of our host, Vincenzo. First 3 days we spent mostly on the boat because my son and my husband did the diving course with Josef, one of the most kind person we ever met. Richard, the captain of the boat and his assistant were very kind as well and we spent great days together. Vincenzo drafted even before our arrival a great trips program. We visited all main attraction points during our almost 2 weeks of staying: Lokobe National Park, Nosy Komba, Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Iranja ( most probably one of the most beautiful islands in the world ). When we went to Nosy Iranja ( 90 minutes by boat from the Lodge ), the cook from Emeraude Lodge joined us and prepared the lunch there. We stayed in a villa with 2 large rooms and the cleaning was done daily, exceptionally! The food was amazingly tasty and despite we are very difficult to be pleased ( my son eat only several dishes, I am vegan ), here we had the best meals. The staff was very friendly, starting with Edese ( the waiter ) who teached us several words in Malagasy and ending with the guy who cleaned the pool. Veloma, Madagascar!
