A Place at the Beach

This is an older facility but it is in great shape and kept very clean. It’s located close to many points of interest in the North Myrtle Beach area. In fact, the road to Hwy 17 comes out directly across from the entrance to Barefoot Landing. I recommend giving it a try.

This was one of the worst condos that I have ever experienced. A sister company (Barefoot Resort) transferred me to this property. I thought it had to be better than the condo with Barefoot. Wrong! The condo had mold on ceiling in every room, baseboards, bath room, air vents, etc. The towel rack had been torn off the wall. Paint chipping off wall and bathroom door would not close due to expansion of wood at the bottom of door. Bathroom rugs were disgusting as well as the shower. There were no towels or wash clothes in entire unit and the smell was awful.

Some of the reviews were iffy but upon arrival we were very satisfied with our unit. It is not a large unit 600 sq feet but was enough for the three of us all female. I plan on renting this place again. I loved the porch although it is small only 2 chairs and a small table but great view from our place. We were in 407. Great access to the beach and a lifeguard is right where you enter the beach. If you are looking for a upscale unit this would not, be it but it is a good place for those of us happy with a nice, clean unit with great linens and a ocean view. Towels were great and exchanged on Tuesday and the sheets were very good - ironed and starched, I think. The pillows were very good too and there were plenty of them on the bed. Everything you need in the kitchen if you don't want to cook big meals. It is very small since it is in the hallway between the bedroom and the living room. Very little counter space. You have to be creative on where to put stuff or don't buy very much! One thing is that one of the front big eyes on the stove did not work but we didn't fix anything but eggs, so the other eye was fine. We ate breakfast and lunch in the condo and went out to eat each night. As with many rental units, the carpet could have used another cleaning but then it may have been clean, and it was just old. Walls are not the best insulated because sound does carry. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. I would not want to be in this unit with big kids unless everyone gets along really well - a necessity in a small unit!!

We were very upset to learn that Phase 1 is 10 blocks from the main resort, no pool, no elevator. 40 stairs to our 3rd floor unit. No mention of this anywhere on any site. Ist morning found live, largw palmetto bugs in unit.

Room was not 250ft from the ocean like the website stated, cigarette burns in the couch and smelled like smoke. Was by the sales office and the rep would stand outside of our room and take phone calls.

Clean. Bright. Well maintained. Great views. Comfortable. Wonderful staff. Good location. I have absolutely no complaints about our stay. This place is in a really easy to get to location nestled right on the beach. Conveniently located.
