Christmas lunch in the restaurant - carvery style. A group of 15 got together for a pre-xmas lunch and I must say it was scrumptious. Loads of meat, veg & gravy for all. Dietary needs all catered for and on their normal lunch menu there is an extensive list of Ingredients should you need to avoid anything. I mean ANYTHING!! Who knew lupins were used in food! Beautiful setting in the heart of the village overlooking open fields from the South facing restaurant.

Beautiful lodges with amazing views. Meals in the restaurant during the evening were really enjoyable with a good selection. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast although fairly enjoyable, bacon was very dried out. Coffee and juice good along with a selection of cereals, yoghurts and pastry’s. The cabins were spotless on arrival. Housekeeping wasn’t quite what I expected. Overall we would highly recommend a visit here, the grounds and views alone are worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

A superb experience from start to finish, very friendly and helpful staff too. The triple room we had was large and well equipped, with gorgeous views over the hills behind. The bed was of a good size and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was quite large and had an amazingly powerful shower. We had a great evening meal and a smashing breakfast the next morning. Our only regret was that we were only staying one night!

We stayed at the inn for 2 fantastic nights ,everything about are stay was perfect. From signing in to signing out . We will definitely be staying again and telling are friends about it. The staff were amazing they could not do enough for us . Thank u for making are weekend perfect.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay with our 2 dogs. Every part of our stay was first class. Room excellent, all staff very friendly and helpful, food was first class with breakfast was more than we could eat, and our dogs made so welcome Thank you so much 'Poltimore Inn' we will be back soon.

The Poltimore Inn is set in beautiful countryside with modern and unique rooms. Our room was very comfortable with good facilities and even a mini fridge! Staff were excellent, welcoming, helpful and the food is delicious. Nothing was a problem during our stay. Highly recommend for a weekend away. So rare to get such good service now a days. Can’t wait to go back.

Dining review; very average curry which was spilled over the table when delivered and was pretty runny too. Can’t say it resembled butter chicken at all 🤔 Missing a trick by not serving with pilau rice. The cheesecake slice was very small and disappointing for £6.95. Just a bit meh 🫤

Called in on spec. what a nice place. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Fab atmosphere and food was amazing. Menu is extensive and lots of homemade options. Good beer also which is a must. :o) Ate in the bar but the restaurant looks very nice. Will definitely return.

Parking is a bit tricky, we had to park a few streets away. very nice inside though, quite traditional but also bright and warm Friendly staff and had a nice pint of otter bitter. No food on the night we visited. We would recommend using if in the area
