«El hotel está justo enfrente de la estación Tobu Nikko, por lo que si llegas a Nikko en los trenes Tobu, este hotel es muy recomendable. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, pero son suficientes, y el baño tiene una pequeña bañera para que te puedas relajar. El check-in y el check-out son bastante tarde y temprano respectivamente, pero podemos dejar nuestras maletas en el hotel y luego volver más tarde para hacer el check-in/check-out. «The hotel is great! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with many facilities like karaoke, a game center, and more. I visited with my family, a total of 14 people, and they were able to arrange a private room for us for both dinner and breakfast. Both meals were buffet-style and absolutely delicious.
The onsen experience was wonderful, and the view from the onsen was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Kinugawa River.
However, there was one issue: when we checked in, the reception took our passports for photocopying. Unfortunately, they missed returning one of the passports to us. It wasn’t until after we checked out and reached our next stop that we realized one passport was missing. We had to go back to the hotel to take it.
Despite this, the overall experience was great, and I would still recommend the hotel.»

«Perfecto, optimista sobre si la reserva incluye cena y el número de ocupantes. El hotel cuenta con aguas termales públicas y habitaciones con aguas termales al aire libre. Ctrip escribió a dos personas al hacer la reserva y no se pudieron cambiar, lo que aumentó el costo virtualmente. La cena también se organizó de acuerdo con el número de ocupantes, lo que fue un desperdicio. Ctrip es realmente malo en esto. «當時被這壯麗的河景温泉吸引決定一定要住一次，在紅葉最好的季節景色絕對一流。房間很大也很新只是陽台比較撿漏，晚餐是坐在榻榻米上吃的不是太習慣，餐食味道整體一般，那須牛肉很好吃就是少了點。缺點是温泉的温度有點高，旅館的細節可以更好一點。»

«La ubicación es buena. Se recomienda caminar directamente desde la estación de calentamiento de la calle. El paisaje del camino es muy bonito y no se pierda. El calentamiento es caliente, pero la caída del informe fijo es el propio hotel, no la asociación de calentamiento común. El entorno es tan bueno, pero no hay calor exterior, un poco guapo. Hay muchos buenos hoteles en todo el lago y O'Sunshine, y hay muchos paquetes de comida, pero Trip.com tiene pocas opciones.»

The free cocktail and coffee services in the lobby were nice, as well as the free drink bar (including one beer per person) near the entrance to the hot spring. The paid massage service was also good. The meals were decent, especially the grilled beef, which simply melted in my mouth. The restaurant staff welcomed us warmly and provided friendly service.
Cons: The variety of hot springs was lacking, and the view from the hot springs was almost blocked, which was disappointing. The lockers for valuables used combination dials, and foreign guests often didn’t know how to use them, locking their room keys inside and struggling to reopen them. This was a major inconvenience. They should switch to a key-and-wristband system like other onsen hotels.
The room itself felt like an old, once-grand mansion that had seen better days. The furniture had many scratches, and the surfaces were worn and peeling. It made me think it must have been impressive in the past. Still, the room was definitely more spacious compared to other hotels.

1. Отель выглядит ухоженным и новым. Номер большой, с балкончиком, туалетом с душем, есть мини-бар, принадлежности для чаепития, пижамы, юкаты все на месте. Небольшие подарки. Все было очень приятно. В пространстве лобби есть кофемашина, можно брать книги почитать, есть сувенирный магазин.
2. Радушное отношение во время подачи еды, особенно во время ужина. Вкус еды и качество для меня были превосходными. Как для иностранца незнакомого с традициями кухни, мы благодарим за возможность прикоснуться к кулинарному микроклимату региона. Хотя я и понимаю, что мое мнение не может считаться экспертным.
3. Хорошая зона с онсеном. Есть внутренний бассейн и ротенбуро, полотенца приносить из номера нет необходимости. Есть небольшая общая лаунж-зона с напитками и мороженым.
Небольшие минусы: 1. Если едешь в отель на такси, то он подвозит тебя к гравийной дорожке, и тогда ты спокойно попадаешь чуть пройдя пешком к официальному входу в отель. Но если идти пешком, а это минут 20 от вокзала, то зная, что ты прошел более удобный служебный вход, обход к главному входу покажется странным, хотя в итоге имеет свое очарование.
2. Обслуживание на въезде в отеле кажется немного размытым. Особенно после обслуживания в том же ресторане. Но мы прибыли поздно вечером так, что велика вероятность, что все к нашему приезду уже просто подустали.
3. Отель в наш вечер проводил лекцию, но она была на японском языке. Хотя я не вижу механизма, при котором ее можно было бы сделать более доступной. Наем переводчика, который бы переводил на английский паре иностранцев - странный. Проводить ее на английском, когда большее количество постояльцев были японцы, неправильно.
Отель недешевый, но мне кажется, что стоит своих денег. Всячески его рекомендую.

UUsuario invitadoMany things were great about this hotel - I stayed in the dorm for 10 nights and you're basically getting hotel level service and amenities for dorm price, very value for money. New towels provided everyday, library and lounge were great (free alcohol and snacks, plus lovely hammocks and view of the lake), onsen was a good size with indoor and outdoor pools.
The one thing I didn't like was the material they used to construct the dorm capsules - thin wood that was very hollow, resulting in a deafening amplification of sound whenever your neighbours moved around you. If you're a light sleeper you might want to reconsider.
But otherwise, it was awesome, I would go back again!

HHoSVery old school ryokan run by very friendly who has been working there for many years. Your name will be displayed on the board next to the entrance of the ryokan to show that they were currently welcoming these guests staying at the ryokan! We stayed there for 2 nights with free parking and we didn’t have to drive anywhere until we checked out as the ryokan is within walking distance to the 3 major world heritage listed shrines including The Toshogu Palace.
Avoid room 312 or 313 (which we stayed) which are the smallest rooms. Those rooms in the middle parts are bigger and more comfortable. Do ask for any room facing the back of the ryokan and avoid those facing the front where you only see car parks with coaches coming in the morning bringing tourists to the shrines.
The onsite Onsen for ryokan guests, breakfasts and dinners are the highlights. You’d love the traditional Japanese meals served there and you won’t be hungry.
Would I come back to this ryokan again? Yes definitely due to its location and friendly staff.

La habitación es bastante espaciosa, parte en estilo occidental con camas y parte en japonés con tatamis. Hay una baja en el centro de la habitación, bastante cómodo. Buena vista a la montaña y el bosque desde la ventana, 9o piso. Nice yukata para usar, me gusta el exterior. Desayuno y cena es buffet, muy grande elección, cerveza gratis para cenar, no tantos frutos, no pasteles para desayuno (sólo para cenar). Hay sushi y sashimi opción, delicioso alimento. Onsen es bastante bueno, limpio, grande. Se recomienda que se quede aquí

Jjlow123Most of the reviews are outdated so I thought I'd give an updated review. For one thing, there is WiFi (I have informed the landlady that the website indicates otherwise).
This place is a traditional-style inn. You'll be sleeping in a futon (some Google-fu should help you know how to use one), use two pairs of slippers (one for moving around the house, one exclusively for the toilet) and will also bathe in a Japanese-style shared bathroom. The front gate and bathroom close at 10pm, which is not an issue as everywhere in Nikko closes early and it's too dark to hike outdoors (in early Autumn).
We loved using the onsen to relax after a day of strolling around and hiking, and the delicious Japanese-style breakfast was lovingly prepared by a friendly old granny. The premises are old but well-maintained. Toilets, bathroom and onsen were great but we were there during off-peak season so we didn't need to share so much. Should we return to Nikko, this place will be our first choice!
