Jumbo Junction

Our 3 days stay at Jumbo Junction was absolutely fabulous: the lodge is beautiful, our cottage was very cozy and clean, beds super comfortable. Herman and his family made us feel very welcome and 'tried to make all our wishes come true' ! We felt very much at home with them and the staff. The mokoro ride with H was beautiful and the boat trips to and from the game drives through the hippo channels exactly how I had imagined the Okavango Delta - close to the hippos and crocodiles but with a respectful distance. Game drives were very good and for most of the time with few other cars, which was great. Our two guides were knowledgeable and friendly and respectful towards nature which we appreciated a lot! A big thank you Herman and all others from Martin & Sabine and success with the horse back riding safaris !

We (2 couples) had a wonderful 3 day stay at Jumbo Junction. This special safari camp has a unique and still unfolding story. It is owned and personally run by an inspiring young family of four. A husband and wife and two fun and engaging young children. The camp is being reinvented to offer equestrian safaris, which sounds wonderful. They are already offering equestrian tours as they build their stable from the current 10 or 12, to 20+ horses. We will definitely consider an equestrian experience the next time we visit. The camp has a small, well run and caring, family vibe which makes you feel right at home. The safari drives, both by land and water were beyond expectations and the guides/trackers were friendly, knowledgable and informative. The accomodations were comfortable and luxurious and the food delicious. I highly reccomend Jumbo Junction and will most definitely be returning.

AMAZING, great hosts, super staff. Truly a life changing experience. Nature, the stars, the creatures, visit the local village, everything was spectacular. I highly recommend a visit to everyone, couple, families, or solo travelers. The Delta offers more than you could imagine.

What an experience had! We enjoyed our time at Jumbo Junction so much, it was an experience of a life time. Communication re pick up and bookings etc, was excellent. Flight from Maun over the Delta was so well organised and simply an amazing experience first up. All staff and owners were super friendly and helpful 100% of our stay, we were sad to leave. So many activities on offer and the location is right on the Delta the hippos sound so close! Wild life galore especially for "birdies" which we are not, but are now more aware! Accommodation perfect, comfortable beds and clean. Food also excellent, staff very accommodating on any particulars. Their "bush camp" for two nights was incredible and a "must do" for all guests, really, it was fantastic. So well organised and just a magic experience. We will be back!

I cant express my deepest gratitude for the incredible hospitality we received from Mr Herman and his entire Team here at @jumbojunctioncamp From the moment we arrived until the moment we were about to depart , every member of his team made us feel extraordinarily welcome and comfortable. I particularly want to commend @jumbojunctioncamp Family for the exceptional care and attention they gave to my toddlers . Traveling with such a large family can be challenging, but their team went above and beyond to ensure we all had a wonderful experience. The warm welcome, the thoughtful accommodations, and the personal touches throughout our stay were truly remarkable. They Taylor made our entire stay and planned our activities to our every request, prepared Halaal dining options as far as they could source and made an effort to maintain a high standard."♥️ My children felt safe and at~home with the incredible team’s kindness, patience, and professionalism. They even went the extra mile to babysit the toddlers and keep them busy while we were away on our equestrian ride ♥️ Nothing went unnoticed. You all truly made our stay memorable and allowed us to make the most spectacular and loving memories.. We had the great joy of staying two nights at Jumbo Junction. From the first moment we felt like we were with family. The guides EQ, Baruti and Monoso were terrific and so driven to help us see everything. We saw alot. Male Lion with his Buffalo kill, a leopard hunting (ambushing warthogs), zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, hyena with a warthog kill, hyena cubs, elephants, a honey badger and so much more. The mokoro ride was perfect. They poled us to a hippo pool and then a sundowner on a nearby island. I’ve done many mokoro rides and this was by far the best. Even if we hadn’t seen so many animals, just spending time with Herman and his family would have been enough. They were so accommodating and Herman went out of his way to have my wife’s lost luggage flown in from Maun. The location of Jumbo Junction is unique as the interaction with cattle, nearby villages and the wildlife is a much needed perspective.
