Club Wyndham Long Wharf

Went to Boston for a graduation but could not find economical local accommodation so decided on the Long Wharf and we commuted. It is quite a distance but did not need to travel every day. So glad we chose this location. We had a 3 bed, 2 bath unit with sofa bed, kitchen & laundry. It was great for our family of 8. Unfortunately, the beds in 2 rooms were only singles but the couples made it work. Washer/dryer is tired & needs an upgrade. We did not require housekeeping but staff were very helpful when we needed new towels, etc. Pool and hot tub were welcome at the end of the day and the fire pit was very inviting! Did not experience the gym or movie theatre but great amenities to have. (Some renovations are being done to the property, I think.) The front desk staff were friendly & helpful. The location in Newport is excellent - walking distance to the shopping, wharves, and restaurants. (Try the little seafood restaurant right across from in the shipyard parking lot - it's amazing!!) Would recommend this property & would love to return one day!

They were doing construction on some of the units on the property which was not a problem, but there was some kind of construction going on outside our window and across the street that was going on during the middle of the night which kept us up. Called the front desk and they said they could not do anything about it. Units are in need of an upgrade, but the two bedroom town house was very spacious

We just finished another wonderful stay at this resort and, once again, are very happy with our experience. We visit several times a year, and each stay continues to impress us. From the moment we checked in, Giovanna at the front desk went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable. She listened to our requests and did her best to accommodate them. Her helpfulness truly stands out. The location is excellent—within walking distance to many great restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The rooms are always clean, and the beds are very comfortable. We’ve already booked our next stay for the summer and can’t wait to return!

Lovely location, I don't think that there is much control over bad behavior at the pool ect, but it is nice place to visit for a family.

Very disappointed and will not book again. Negatives: 2 hrs after check in time (we called and told them the day prior that we would be there later in the evening we were told they would note it in the computer.) they told us they didn't have the room we had booked through RCI. A 2 bedroom suite as we have 2 adults and 3 young kids. We were told they had a maintained issue that caused this. They told us they could get us 2, one bedrooms but that would mean my husband and I would need to sleep in separate rooms for the entire vacation. Clearly not a family vacation set up. We called back upset about this and we're then told it wasn't their fault, it was RCIs fault for overbooking. We were offered a $100 refund. Not even a small percentage of what this trip coated us as we were planning to be here for a week. We were told if anyone didn't check in, we could move rooms. We kept our stuff partially packed and didn't get settled knowing we may get a call. No calls with an update, no call to check in, and the people at the front desk had no idea what we were talking about. Added to the room change we were now put into a different building. We intentionally booked a room in the main building due to my disability (struggles walking) and having 3 very young kiddos makes it really hard to walk back to the room in freezing temps. When we got to the room, we found hair on the bathroom floor and someone insulin. We let the front desk know and they came to get the medicine with no apology or anything. Lastly the elevator and hallways are so cold. Freezing! We picked this room and building on purpose and passed on other locations due to the location of the pool and our room. Lastly, be aware that they don't do any house cleaning unless you stay longer than 14 days. Not a great option for a family with kids. With that, I do not recommend this place at all and feel very disappointed that this is where we decided to spend our family vacation. Positives. Nice view from the elevator.

The location of the Wyndham Long Wharf time share can’t be beat. It’s a perfect place to have a girls’ weekend because everything was within walking distance (except the famous Cliff Walk and Newport’s famous mansions-that’s just a quick Uber ride away). Being by the harbor offered great options for food, drinks, and even dancing. The only issue with the property was that the outdoor pool is still being renovated. The smaller pool and fire pit were available though which helped. Even though I was there with girlfriends, this would have been a great spot for families. They offer movies for kids, arts and crafts activities and even bbqs by the pool. I’d definitely stay there again!
