My wife and I just spent two nights at the Ocean House in Newport, Oregon, and it was wonderful. The Inn is very nicely appointed, and super comfortable, with a couple of different indoor sitting areas, as well as a number of outdoor patios/decks. We stayed in the White Caps room, which has a whole wall of windows that overlook the pines and ocean. White Caps also has a "lux" bathroom, complete with a soaking tub. The views from the Inn and beautifully landscaped property are an absolute dream, one of the most romantic and peaceful views imaginable. Don't worry about the presence of tall evergreens obscuring the ocean below, because they don't. They actually enhance the mystical nature of the setting. The staff were all wonderful, Friendly, helpful, and genuinely pleased to be in the service profession. I mention Chyann, Diana, Sherri, and Misty as standouts. Misty is the chef who prepares beautifully presented and delicious breakfasts each morning. She is a sweetheart. If you're planning a trip to the Newport area, you can't go wrong staying at the Ocean House. It will be a memorable experience that you will savor long after you're home,
