Travelodge Newbury Tot Hill

Lovely warm welcome from the reception team. They recommended me a great local pub with a discount for Travelodge guests which was helpful as I don’t know the area. The team were obviously having some problems with works being carried out in the hotel but were dealing with it so well and professionally with minimal disruption to me. The rooms are newly decorated and are very comfortable. The lady apologised for the slight paint smell and explained they were in the middle of refurbishment, and yes this was evident in the corridors but my room was lovely and fresh so no complaints from me. It’s good to see Travelodge investing in a small roadside hotel. For the money I paid I was extremely happy and will stay here again. Thank you also to the gentleman that carried my bag upstairs for me as I had quite a lot of luggage with me.

Really nice when I checked in and the staff said I was the first person after the mattress was swapped out. The lady that checked me in was super helpful and put a smile on my face. I had an issue with the TV remote though but it was very quickly dealt with at the desk.

The hotel was absolutely spotless, the windows had been opened prior to our arrival so the room was airy and cool. Every inch was immaculate, the bathroom was well stocked with proper toilet rolls and the bedding was comfortable and clean. Mandy on reception was warm and welcoming. Our overall stay was very impressive, despite the low cost. Would definitely recommend!

Very helpful and genuine receptionist gave us a warm welcome. Our room was clean, quiet and spacious, albeit not particularly modern but perfectly suitable for the cost of the booking. Great amount of parking available and unlike a lot of Travelodges it’s free! Considering the services location, there was next to no noise which was great.

Lovely, friendly helpful staff. Great location just off the main road, lots of free parking right outside and quiet room at the back, comfy bed and pillows all at £34.99 per night. Connecting tunnel to Starbucks with a McDonalds nearby. Excellent value ! .

I often travel up and down the country for work but was really amazed by the care here, I had a problem with the WiFi but the man on the desk got it working for me. I plan on coming here again on the way home from my trip. Might be a budget hotel but the customer service was exemplary.

Very warm and friendly welcome. Mandy helped me with my wi-fi. Unfortunately, wi-fi just not great in my particular room.

Mandy supervisor lovely bubbly lady, the taps could do with a bit of a polishing up they are full of water stains and there was water constantly trickling from the overflow in the bath. The mattress was quite hard and sloped in the middle, and I woke to a massive spider in the bed with us, but I would stay again

hello, I stayed several weeks in a row at this hotel, extraordinary cleanliness, I didn't expect it to be clean at such a price. especially Sanjay, a man of very high quality, great respect for me. she always welcomes you with open arms and a very nice and very warm smile. maybe not everyone has this lived experience, but I for one felt very good in this hotel. sorry it's not closer to where I live, I live in East London.
