We stayed at the Garden and Sea Inn for the first time this weekend and are confident that it will be our go-to spot to stay anytime we are in the Virginia Eastern Shore area!!! The accommodations are charming and well-stocked with anything you could need. Our host Grace was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and of course, she cooks an amazing breakfast! The common areas feature many opportunities for enjoyment, including a pool table, books and board games, a record player, a swinging hammock, and porches stocked with rocking chairs. There's also a pool open in the summer, which we will have to come back to enjoy since it wasn't warm enough to open quite yet! An easy & scenic twenty-minute drive gets you to the Chincoteague/Assateague area, where we spent most of our time enjoying wildlife, beaches, and seafood. We would highly recommend booking a stay at the Garden and Sea Inn!!!

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week at the Garden and Sea Inn. It was relaxing, peaceful, private and just a great place to get away. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning then headed to Chincoteague island for a fun day shopping, birdwatching, and just relaxing at the beach. This is just a perfect place to explore and we found it to be a friendly place just to hangout! I give it a five star because we cant wait to go back in the fall. Grace was also very pleasant while we were there if were to need anything!

58th Birthday Celebration:) My husband and I stayed there during my 58th birthday and we had a wonderful time! The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the service was top notch (I loved the cozy fireplace & jacuzzi tub in our room - so romantic!). The property was beautiful, spacious and serene. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Grace who gave us a lovely tour and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious and filling. I would highly recommend staying here during your vacation to Chincoteague!

After reading the reviews I thought this place was going to be MUCH nicer than it is. After taxes and fees, I paid over $300 per night - yes, I selected a nice room (Merlot), but defintely not worth it. The reviewers on Trip Adivsor seem sus. MOST of them have less than 10 contributions (many of them only 1 contribution....mmmmm?), use the same words and descriptions. The only review that is spot on is jpc1424. It is not peaceful and quiet as it is only one block from busy Route 13. The place is clean enough, very old, and needs a lot of upgrades - carpet, bathroom fixtures, brighter light bulbs, newer air conditioners. Breakfast is good. Grace is very friendly and hard- working.

Great place to stay! Cozy and quiet. Our host was great and gave lots of good recommendations on places to eat and places to explore. The grounds are beautiful and are the perfect setting for the historic houses. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

The host Grace was very kind and recommended places to visit and eat. The room was superb. My husband and I went for our 20th anniversary and it felt so special. The breakfast was wonderful and served to our room as a special treat! We would definitely visit again.

Quaint little get away place. The room was comfortable, the host was welcoming, and the grounds were beautiful. We had a short anniversary get away to Chincoteague, and stayed at the inn. Breakfast was delicious, Grace was friendly and helpful with pointers on the area. There is a common space that offers activities like a pool table and a large selection of DVD movies, as well as refreshments. The room was cozy and offered a smart TV, a jet tub, coffee maker, and electric fire place. There is a screened in porch and gazebo when weather permits. I highly recommend visiting!

A quaint Victorian house was perfect for our getaway. Our room was huge with a private bath. I loved the breakfast served in a large breakfast area. We did not take advantage of the other amenities like pool or outside seating but we would definitely go back. It was conveniently off Route 13 and not far from Chincoteague/Assateague

Grace was very welcoming and helpful on our arrival. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good - a coffee cake and hash brown nest with eggs and bacon, plenty of coffee. Grace also has snacks out to choose from. We had a great visit with her over Breakfast. We highly recommend this quiet, comfortable B & B!
