Apartamentos Toboso Plaza

Modern spacious apartments, nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. Conveniently located for Nerja shops/bars/beaches and also for buses, which we took to visit Frigiliana and the caves. Taxis seemed much harder to come by. Unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there so didn’t get to use the lovely roof terrace. Great WiFi which is absolutely necessary as there is no information there or staff to assist in finding things out. The best supermarket we found very close by was Mercadona - 2 min walk. Suggestion to management - a map and visitor guide to local supermarket, buses etc would have been helpful. And a tea towel in the kitchen! Tip for visitors- as well as the door code you will need a check in code for the machine to get your key. Tui provided neither of these. I got the door code in advance by emailing and the check in code by pressing a help button. Overall would definitely recommend- felt a little uneasy the first night with no staff in the building but soon got used to it! Our room 206 facing the courtyard was very quiet.

The apartments are lovely and contain everything you require , providing you don’t book with Tui , we had no code to enter the building and sat around outside waiting fir someone to let us in there is no reception here only an intercom once you gain access eventually we were let by a group of women , the phone number in the door cuts us off and it was after midnight , I had been assured by Tui and the appt web site that someone would be there …there isn’t there never this m also no travel courier visits either

Lovely little hotel, very modern and clean. Apartments have good kitchen with all facilities including microwave and oven. The rooftop terrace was great with a sitting area and plenty of sunlougers. Within easy reach of all the restaurants and bars. Our apartment looks over the inner courtyard, so road noise.

First impressions on entry. It looked and smelt clean. There is an auto entry unit where you scan your passport and a key card will be printed. There is a keypad entry to the main door and I was searching my Love Holidays documents to find the code...and couldn't....but luckily a very nice lady guest was coming out and told us the code and how to check in! I should add that there was a phone number to call so it wasn't a huge deal but no-one really wants to be doing that on arrival. That's not a criticism of the apartments in any way. The only minus side to the stay was the thin walls and loud neighbours who liked to talk late into the night and the street noise from the bar right opposite. However it wasn't exactly a rowdy bar, just men chatting and because they could only smoke outside it meant that chat was often on the street. It wouldn't put us off staying again. If you want a central location with minimal noise this works exceptionally well. The apartment was very comfortable, modern, well equipped and maintained. The lighting was good and the bathroom storage was better than most places we find. The shower was the best. Great water pressure and always hot. Big enough to dry off in. Non slip floor. Easy access sliding door. There was never any water escape onto the floor. There was a huge TV which we were able to cast to from our phones. The internet was exceptionally fast and stable for our needs. Location was perfect. Just a few minutes to the bus station where we caught the bus to Frigliana and the Malaga bus to Torrox Pueblo and Costa. Also just a 5 minute walk to the Mercadona, which was a lovely big supermarket. When that's closed there is a little minimarket down the main street which was adequate for the basics. Seconds to a lovely cafe in the square with a fountain where we enjoyed coffee and churros and chocolate! Not far from the best cake shop we found, Salvador. Less than 10 minutes to the shops, restaurants and Balcon de Europa. 15/20 minutes walk to the weekly Tuesday market....which is uphill. We only had a 4 night stay and would stay again in a heartbeat. Nerja is lovely and suited us perfectly.
