Melrose Napoli

I booked this place through Amex travel and I am so glad I did. This location was perfect we stayed in the large family type room with two loft beds it was perfect. The location is centralized and you are able to walk every where. The provide a small light breakfast with pastries just to get you started. The manager Stefano was amazing he showed us on a map the best places to check out very nice man overall this was a perfect stay thank you so much Stefano for making our stay great. We will definitely come back!!!

Awesome little property in the heart of Naples. Absolutely perfect as a venue for exploring the city even with young children. Great staff, honestly couldn’t fault the venue. There’s some small bars right outside and it does get busy and loud but once the patio doors are shut you cannot hear anything at all!!

This hotel was tucked away on a side street but it was quiet at night due to being on the second floor. The room was a standard room but very large and comfortable. There was little natural light but being out all day it really didn’t matter. Stephan was most helpful and provided us with delicious coffee and whatever we needed at breakfast. The rooms had tea making facilities and a good shower with plenty of towels. The hotel was very conveniently sited for visiting so many sites within and outside the city. We really enjoyed the stay and all Naples had to offer.

We stayed in the “family” room with loft. Room was air conditioned but the loft was very warm so we purchased a fan to keep cool—Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was small but very clean and modern with a very nice shower. Hotel is on 2nd floor but easily accessible with a lift. My only negative comment is that the breakfast is disappointing—-get your breakfast down the street many nice options

I'm so glad we found this place. It's a beautiful, comfortable, modern oasis in a great location. We were just steps away from shopping and so many restaurant options. The National Archeological Museum was less than a 10 minute walk. We loved our short time in Napoli and at this hotel.

We were worried about our late flight to Naples and asked Melrose Napoli several times if check in would be a problem if we arrived around midnight. They told us on numerous occasions not to worry and that, although no member of staff would be there to greet us, we could gain remote entry by pressing the buzzer on the outside of the building … this was not true. After a long flight delay we finally arrived at Melrose Napoli at 2am and pressed the buzzer as instructed … nothing happened, we could not get into the building and the hotel weren’t answering our messages. We had to get a taxi back to Naples airport, at additional expense, to get some shelter and try to get some sleep. Melrose Napoli eventually replied to our messages and, after paying for another taxi back to the hotel, we were let into the property shortly before 8am. Despite giving us misleading and false remote check in instructions, Melrose Napoli have repeatedly denied all responsibility and refuse to refund us the first night’s accommodation we never had. As well as being refused a refund and the additional expense of taxis to/from the airport, my wife and son were both ill during our five day stay due to lack of sleep that first night. Unfortunately my son, to his huge disappointment, had to miss our tour of Pompeii which he had been so looking forward to. If you’re looking for a late check in when you visit Naples, my advice would be to avoid booking Melrose Napoli and look elsewhere.

You can’t find a better location for your stay in Napoli. It’s right in the middle of everything whereas you can walk to most major attractions as well as restaurants and shopping. Also very very close to the metro making it easy getting to the train station from where you can take the train to Pompeii and Vesuv. The hotel is small and decor very nice. The personnel were kind and helpful. Only complaints and the reason for four stars instead of five was the breakfast. I would have preferred to find my own breakfast on the street as this was really not worth the money. If you like cake and sweets you might like it, but the didn’t even serve fresh bread. No eggs, no fruit, no nothing. For a hotel this nice they could have done much much better!

Hotel in good location, rooms clean. Someone needs to evaluate the functionality of the rooms. Nowhere to put your folded clothes No separate light switch for upper loft Bathroom sink not practical, water always spilling out of rim. Nightstand with wiring, cannot put anything on it, all holes. Breakfast was frozen croissants and brioche, the worst coffee I ever tasted. The girl servicing the breakfast during the week always seemed frazzled, burnt everything, not that friendly.

We came just before midnight. NO ONE told us ahead of time that the hotel has NO RECEPTION at this time. On their web site they ignore that "minor "fact. So we had to press on a plaque and wait for someone to reply and open the building door remotely , and do the same in the entrance to the 2nd floor. I was quite nervous all the flight , worring that it might not work!! When I book an hotel - and not an apartment I expect a 24 hr lobby The room was TINY. I couldnt move there. one of the smallest room I have ever had. And we paid 150 euro for that night! more than what we paid 2 days later in 4 star hotel in center Rome. HONESTLY it was not worth the money.
