If you want luxury then this property is not for you. Old heritage building, peaceful with a lot of greenery. Neat and clean. V nice buffet breakfast but the manager a little fussy when asked to show around the property. Rooms are not exactly like what is shown in pictures. Not bad in this price for a night or two get away from hustle bustle of towns

Amazing heritage property with very warm hospitality with great staying experience. The suit we stayed was named as Durga. The property is a huge one spreading over more than 100 acres. Food was really yummy. The best part of the stay was the humble behavior of all the staffs...they all are serving than more than 15yrs...and everyone is doing their Duties with such humble and polite attitude. Will recommend this place to visit for an amazingung stay away from city hustle bustle.

The place is very well maintained and has spacious well equipped rooms. The staff is very friendly, attentive and always with a smile. Food was good with decent choice for all meals in the buffets (one non-veg dish in lunch and dinner). The property is surrounded by hills, big and is beautiful. About 25 of us had comfortable meeting in the curt yard and conference room. The five stars go to the location, condition of building and rooms, amenities, food and the staff attitude in serving guests. Stayed in the top most room (504) for 4 nights. Walk to the temple on hill top is a must to burn some of the calories.

Neat and clean rooms. Attentive staff lot of stairs. No lift. Or ramps. Difficult for physically challenged.

My husband and I spent April and May driving from Goa to Lahaul Spiti and back, staying in various towns and cities ***** the way. We stayed at the Raj Mahal on our way up. We were unsure of what to expect in terms of quality of stay and food so had tentatively booked in for 'a night and will see how it goes' . We were blown away by the welcome we received - Mr. Singhal and Mr. Thakur made us instantly at home and their team of staff members went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. Chai on the open terrace in the mornings and evenings were peaceful and calming. We ended up staying three nights and enjoyed every minute of their kind and generous hospitality. The Mahal is a 15 walking distance from the village and one could walk down in the mornings to get papers, shampoo, medicines, mobile phones etc. In fact, the market center near the bus stop is a bustling place and one can probably find most things there - if you know where to look for them. Saw some fantastic vegetables being unloaded in the mornings! On our return journey, we stayed at the Mahal again, this time for two nights. We chose the same Suite as before - Chand Mahal Suite. It is spacious, located just atop the terrace and is close to the Dining Hall and the Bar. Big thank you to Mr. Singhal and his HouseKeeping and F&B teams ... they are smiley, efficient, hardworking and delightful to interact with ... Raj Lal, Satish, Rinku and the others whose faces I can still 'see' although their names escape me. We are looking forward to our next stay there.
