The Albert Inn

This is a pub/budget Inn. I have to admit, on arrival I was put off by the poor cleanliness throughout the room and unpleasant smell. The level of dusts in parts was not good. I gave the room a proper wipe clean myself and kept the window wide for a while which seemed to tackle the odour. The room and hall carpets desperately need shampooed. Decoration and furnishings are tired. However, the cooked breakfast was good. In terms of location you’re a minute from the high street and five minutes from the beach with on site parking. The shower is good but the toilet is really small, using the toilet is a challenge if you’re tall. The bed was large and very comfy although the noise of loud seagulls disturbed my sleep both nights unfortunately.

Went for dinner to pub attached to accommodation starters were fine main meal awful salt chilli chicken with rice was overcooked and dry chips were undercooked and looked like and tasted like they had been cooked in old dirty fat so disappointed as we always go here while on holiday up in nairn young boy connor behind bar was a star people waited so long for food kitchen needs sorted out just saying

My girlfriend and I could not have hoped for a nicer experience when we stayed at The Albert for two nights last week. After a serious car accident on our way there, we were delayed by several hours and eventually arrived by taxi at 11pm. Despite this the proprietor, Guy, gave us a warm welcome and offered us refreshments, which made all the difference after such a traumatic experience that afternoon. The guesthouse we had stayed in the previous two nights in Aberdeen had been very disappointing, in particular the continental breakfast left outside our rooms, so the wonderful cooked breakfasts served up by Guy were extremely appreciated. We can also recommend the food on offer at evening meal times - it was really good, and modestly priced too. The rooms were really nicely appointed with big comfortable beds and nice furnishings throughout. For the prices being charged we really could not fault this guesthouse - we will be back again and will recommend it to friends and family. Thanks again Guy! Alan and Fiona
