Excellent location and facilities. Room service and restaurant downstairs.Don't provide tooth brush/paste/shave kit. Good value for money.

The hotel location is perfect overlooking Naini lake. The hotel has cozy rooms with facility for hot water. The front desk people are very friendly and helpful.
The top floor of hotel gives an excellent view of hills and lake.
Of a person is early riser, he can capture the sun rising from behind the mountains.
By the way the hotel is named after two brother's nickname Channi & Raja.
The elder brother sits in the hotel reception and had lot of stories to tell about old times in Nainital.

I stayed for two nights at hotel channi raja...it was completely awesome.. first the manager at reception desk greeted warmly...also the room boys were quite helpful..and the staff responded well in time...We got our orders in room service without any delay..they have their vegetarian hotel unit just attached to channi raja hotel serving good food with variety... ..Rooms were properly cleaned(little over- decorated) with clean n dry bathroom.. Moreover hotel is centrally located with Naini Lake facing and is very easy approachable... near to many visiting places. Taxi can visit just up to the entrance gate of the hotel,,which is very comforting.... Food is also quite tasty at reasonable prices...with no extra charges for room service.. Also they provided nice extra bedding for our third person... Overall we enjoyed a lot for our stay at channi Raja hotel... I highly recommend others for staying here without any doubt...

for the price, the hotel lacks cleanliness and some basic services:
the provided linen was in poor and unclean condition.
the staff seemed a little unprofessional as they literally slept in the reception area at night while locking the front door.
the rooms have thin walls and outside noise is pretty evident in the room as a group of young boys shouted and howled the entire night in their room and in the lobby which echoed in other rooms as well.
not suited for families overall
