Our place is walking distance to the beach and Nags Head Town Park . There are some hiking trails to the Albemarle sound. Dowdy Park is also close. We are located in walking/ biking distance to great local restaurants, ice cream shops, surf shops, coffee shops, grocery stores, antique stores, yoga studios, YMCA and much , much more. The walk to Barnes St beach Access is about a 10 - 15 min walk less on bikes .The spaceLost on Lost Colony has a great out door sitting area, relax with your coffee or tea in the morning. Coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and small refrigerator are available for your convenience. Great access to the beach or the park 10 minutes in either direction. We have bikes, umbrella, and beach chairs available for free (at your risk/responsibility) for your entire stay. We are close to SUP rentals and surf lessons. Art on the walls is done by all local artists, and is for sale upon request. You could park your car and walk or bike to most everything you need in Nags Head. We do live upstairs with the cats. We will either be at work or the beach most of the summer. Sea Spray Cottages were built in 1950. There are 5 cottage in total, each cottage is similar to the others, but unique in its own way. My wife and I have been operating the SEA SPRAY COTTAGES OBX for vacations rentals since 2009. We run a mom and pop operation, an experience from a day gone-bye but thoroughly enjoyed by our guests.Sea Spray Cottage #5 is perfect for those looking for a quaint space to enjoy time at the beach. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other bedroom has 2 twins. It has a comfortable living room with wide-screen TV, living room/dining area and wide galley kitchen. You will not believe how comfortable and charming it is until you spend some time there. If you are looking for a private getaway or to vacation with just your immediate family or just you and just your significant other, this is the place for you. Dogs are welcome, we try to keep it to 2 (it's primarily a cottage for folks- not a kennel). $125 for the first two and $100 each after that but you must let us know if beyond 2, PLEASE. The location can't be beat, the beach is just across the street and at about mile post 11.7 (just south of Nags Head Pier and north of Snow Bird's Soft Serve Ice Cream) where all that Nags Head has to offer is close by. The cottage has an awesome front porch with panoramic views. The porch is great for lounging and enjoying your favorite beverage as you watch the world go by as folks stroll, run and bike along the multi-use path that is across the street. The cottage also has an awesome back porch with a bistro table for morning coffee or an intimate dinner. Bed linens and towels NOT provided, but our assistant manager, Billy has a side gig where he can suite you up for a fee. Just ask for his number. Check in is at 4 and check out is at 10:00. This is a family beach house located in a quiet, wooded, residential, "west side" neighborhood adjacent to Nags Head Woods and the walking trails leading to the sound but is just .4 of a mile to a beach access with a lifeguard (in season) and a crosswalk with a light to cross the road.The backyard is fully fenced in with access from the back porch and even has a doggy door in the dining room for Fido to come and go as you allow. Please note * VRBO map location is approximate. We are on the west side of 158- not the east side as the map sometimes shows. (We cannot adjust the map. It is set up by VRBO.)The main level of the house has a living room, a dining room with seating for six, full kitchen, and a half bath. The master bedroom, also located on the main living level, features a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a double shower head and jetted whirlpool tub. The spacious covered back porch - accessed from the sliding glass doors off of the kitchen and dining room - features a large, comfortable outdoor seating group, a dining table with seating for six, and a gas grill. The upper level of the home has the remaining two bright, spacious bedrooms, both with queen beds, high-definition streaming televisions, and a shared full bathroom. The ground level has outside access leading directly to the outside shower and front yard, a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer, and a desk that is perfectly tucked away in a quiet corner for remote Zoom calls or work, should the need arise.Guest access - You can access the entire house except for the garage and the locked ground floor rooms, and the owner's closets. The fireplace is NOT functional or for guest use.The garage is not accessible to guests.Other things to noteThe minimum age to rent is 25. ABSOLUTELY no parties or overnight outside guests will be allowed. You will be asked to leave immediately and will not receive a refund of any kind.Adult dogs ONLY - 2 maximum - WITH PET FEE. Dogs must be house-trained, friendly (in case we need to access the house), up to date on flea meds and shots, and well-socialized. Dogs are not to be left alone unattended in the house uncrated for extended periods of time. You must let us know in advance if you plan to bring your dog. Be sure to pick up after your dog in all areas and keep your dog off the furniture. If you have a "shedding" type breed, clean-up also means hair within reason. Please note that this is a vacation rentals and not a hotel. (We mean that in the absolute nicest way!) You will need to roll trash carts out for trash pickup, do your dishes, etc., and basically leave the house reasonably as you found it.If you use the grill, please clean it before departure for the next guests. Our cleaners do not clean grills. The amenity is provided with the understanding that you may have to clean it before use and that you understand we ask that you clean it before departure.
