Lugar mágico con pocos turistas. La comida ha sido muy buena todo los días, en especial el pescado!!. Personal amable, en especial Ben, siempre con una sonrisa. La excursión al poblado ha sido maravillosa. El Bura muy cuidado y súper bonito delante Justo del mar!

I spent 4 nights at Oarsmans Bay and I am now regretting having to leave. From the moment you arrive you feel right at home. There are something like 20 or so Bure’s plus two dormitories. Which means there’s a few other guests but not so many that it’s overwhelming. Often you can go out on the beach and only see a cpl of people, if any. OBL has definite relaxation vibes. You go there to pop a snorkel on for a cool hours to check out the reef, read your book/s in the deck chairs, have a snooze in the hammocks and just chill. I did the cave tours and the reef hopper on the same day. Highly recommend both tours. The cave tour takes you for a swim into one larger cave, and then a little duck down to get into the second, smaller cave. If you’re a bit claustrophobic or don’t like the idea of putting your head under then you can stay in the first cave no probs. Reef hopper takes you to three locations and the fish and coral reef you get to see are spectacular. Also recommend getting a massage - Ruisa gave me the Bombo massage and it was so good i booked in again for the day i was leaving just so i could leave with good vibes. The staff also went above and beyond for me. I was very unwell on the ferry getting to OBL. I couldn’t face going back on the boat, so they managed to organise a drop off at a nearby island so i could catch the seaplane back to the mainland. If you do get a bit seasick, i highly recommend splurging for the helicopter up front, it’s a long time to be on the boat otherwise. Thanks to everyone at OBL, i hope to return again soon

The staff here are the friendliest people on earth. They truly seem to want to make sure you have a perfect stay on their island. Loved every minute here. I wish we could have stayed forever. Highly recommend.

This truly is a relaxing laid-back hotel if you're looking for a piece of paradise to stay. Though you don't get a lot of variety, the food is very very tasty. We booked a beachfront studio and were just some feet away from the beach and the incredible turquoise waters. The staff is really welcoming and always ready to help. The snorkeling just by the reefs in front of the hotel is the best I've ever done. There are also some charged trips to get to know the village and other snorkeling spots where we got to see reef sharks.

We visited for 8 days in June. Positives The staff are wonderful and look after you with great care. Generous sharing of Fijian culture including performances and visits to villages. Simple, elegant spacious bure accommodation serviced daily. Absolutely pristine environment in and out of the water. Great snorkelling straight off the beach out front. Delicious fresh food including a great Lovo feast on Saturday evenings. Opportunities for lots of excursions and activities both free and paid. Wonderfully relaxing. Negative Unbelievably there was one negative. Had I known that coffee would consist of sachets of instant powder (unacceptable) I would have brought my own ground coffee and coffee plunger/French press. One real low in an otherwise trip of great highlights.

Oarsman Bay Lodge was an absolute treat and dream. My husband and I stayed here for the first stop of our Fiji honeymoon and we couldn’t have asked for anything better! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the amazing staff with their smiling faces and “Bulas!” Yummy food and a stocked bar. All of the staff were superb, but shout out to Josh who helped us out so much and was so sweet, and Maria our masseuse! The beach at Oarsman is one of the best in the world and snorkeling right outside of our bure; we saw a lionfish right away! We were a little skeptical about it not having a pool but it’s truly not needed since the ocean is so calm, warm, and perfect there! Thank you to our Oarsman family for making us feel so welcome!

Me and my partner stayed for 3 nights in mid-June this year. We were staying in one of the beachfront apartments and the views were incredible. The staff were lovely and friendly, and we formed some deep connections to those of them that we saw and spoke to daily. They were always looking to help improve our stay and went as far as to offer changing the lunch menu for us when we were under the weather. The activities provide were fun and adventurous. We were unlucky not to have a great sunset for the island trip, but still had some good fun exploring the island to ourselves. The cave trip was amazing, and Josh was the perfect guide, telling us about all the ties to Fijian folklore and culture. The village visit was also a great experience, and again Zak went above and beyond as the guide. He explained in detail the ways and traditions of his people, and made sure we all came away feeling a strong connection to the village and its people. The bay itself is one of the most breathtaking I’ve ever seen, and the reef snorkelling is the perfect way to discover it. The food provided by the Lodge was the best we have had in Fiji. There could be a bit more choice and variety in the menu, but what was provided was cooked to perfection and tasted great. All in all, I could not recommend the Lodge more. It is the perfect place to come to relax, and there is always a bit of adventure if that’s more your style. I would suggest that it’s a great place to come as a couple, but anybody could enjoy it here. One final special mention to all of the staff, especially Josh and Zak. I stayed at Oarsman’s Bay Lodge for almost a week. The staff there were all very friendly and nice. I did a couple of massagers whilst there and Maria, who has 18 years of experience, was fantastic. The meals provided at OBS were delicious and both the bures I stayed in had either awesome interior setup or exterior views. I had thoroughly enjoyed my time at OBS and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of booking this accommodation, including single female travellers.

Stayed here in March 2025 for a few days for my partner’s 30th. Really happy we splashed out and chose to stay here; was worth every penny! Beautiful staff, great excursions, good food, wonderful accommodation right on the beach. It was so romantic and tranquil. I need to give a shout out to Louisa who diligently provided me with over two hours worth of massage treatments in one go; by far the best massages I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favour and get a massage from her; my sore hospitality feet never felt so good afterwards! This is a long overdue review, better late than never, and I can’t wait to come back again one day. Thank you lovely team for everything! - Beth x
