Compass Cove

The resort is really nice, we stayed in an updated room, nicely done. The beach area is good, you can rent an umbrella. They have many pools and a lazy river, they are heated. They have a nice bar area and happy hour. They have a Starbucks too. Plenty of parking. Located about a mile from Damon's grill

I stayed in the Schooner Ocean View Deluxe Mini Suite. We had a great trip even though the weather wasn't the best every day. This is my first spring break taken with my kids... Windy and rained a couple days... not horrible... The indoor pools and lazy river made it better and the heated pools were a lifesaver! We stayed in the new renovated rooms and it was clean, and well taken care of. Our room had sitting chairs by beds in photos and a sliding barn door for bedrooms and only room room had regular bedroom door that locked and no chairs next to beds, just the dining table chairs were only in our room. Never saw trash anywhere just renovation stuff...and had plenty of pool towels yet the could have been larger towels they only covered our shoulders. The biggest negative from our spring break was stuff not opened that was not updated on either the resorts site or the american airlines booking site: the stuff that was the open was the coffee shop (I needed the coffee shop!!!), the gift store, the bathroom near the indoor pool near registration and game room was down for renovation, also my mini fridge did not have a freezer so that was a bummer so couldn't freeze my ice packs for trip home or bring frozen food to cook in oven just buy it as needed. Our room did have a stove,microwave, sink,mini fridge only fridge part and oven. came with dishes and silverware and a baking dish. When looking for registration it took us on a tour- The registration office was also moved upstairs to 2r? and that is where you also had to to go for bathroom also when at beach or indoor pool... so they need to get the bathroom more accessible. The downstair bathroom was closed for reno??? The lazy river pools floats are nice, but not huge so if you have a little extra fluff you will not fit inside one and only can lay on top haha!!!!! Just a thought- maybe add a feew larger ones for us that have some extra love... We definitely can't wait to come back when everything is open to make it perfect! We booked off the american airlines app using our miles so we couldn't access the compass cove app- so that was a negative. Wish that could have been working. Also the suitcase carts need to be upgraded bc they were not the easiest to push. maybe grease the wheels?? Not a big negative on the submarine in kids pool- but it can definitely be updated bc it looked like it was chipping and maybe getting unsafe... and the splash pad area could be cleaned and had dirt and sand all in bottom like it hadn't been cleaned. Not a biggie, bc it wasn't gross. Also it would be nice if breakfast was included in our stay bc family vacays can get pricey. and the buffet was okay but not a huge variety offered. I hate to pay that much for my kids to eat one pancake and maybe 2 strips of bacon! ouch! It adds up! Definitely getting the room with full fridge next time so I can cook more. Bc the meals and taxes are pricey! Lastly the ice bins are pretty gross. I did not get ice once just due to

The renovations look amazing and customer service was superb. Breakfast always good and staff so friendly. They have regular size refrigerator in the room, love that. We love the view. We were on the 400 level. We came in February. They are taking pride in the hotel.

We are here now. We are very disappointed. It took 3 times to get us into our room. They gave us the wrong room number the 1st time (it was already occupied!). Went back to front desk. 2nd time we got up here and keys wouldn't work. Back to front desk. They refused any type of discount for the issues. 3rd time we got in. Door had been left open and that's why we couldn't get in! Get in room.. only for there to be a text that water will be turned off due to leak. Im at a loss. They have a text system and offered a $50 discount. We will never stay again. Might I add room wasn't ready until almost 6:30pm.

I will never book this hotel again. We have been waiting hours to check and told that “check in only starts at 4pm and that doesn’t mean that we can actually check in at that time” by the front desk manager. He told us that he can not give us a time of when our room will be clean as they have been working on our specific room for over 2 hours now. (It is past 4pm as I am writing this!!!) I complained that check in was supposed to be at 4pm and we should have been called to let us know something was wrong with our room. I explained that I needed to nurse my baby and was told to NURSE IN THE BATHROOM from the front desk people. I recorded this as it was my 3rd trip up trying to check into my room that was supposed to be ready by 4pm as my reservation states. Nursing Mothers beware! I asked for any other option that we could be given and told that all rooms were being cleaned, again it is already past 4pm when I was told this. I asked to speak to a different manager or even the house cleaning manager to figure out a timeline of when our room would be ready and was told by the Front Desk Manger Alex that there was No One else that I could talk to so I’m am just here well after check in time with no idea of when I will be allowed to go the room I paid for.
