Megas Rooms

My experience with this "hotel" showed how greedy and selfish some people can be. I booked a twin room all the way back in March for a price of 109.35 EUR for two nights (Sep 2 to 4). On the 9th of August, I received an email saying the following "Megas Rooms wants to cancel your booking 3681XXXXX as they haven't received prepayment from you." Well, this is strange since I booked with the option to have the amount withdrawn from my account a few days before arrival. Nonetheless, it gave me the option to pay the outstanding amount of 109.35 EUR and so I did. A few days after, Megas room decided to shift the dates to 27-29 Sept (dates whereby I was not even going to be in Mykonos). I immediately thought something was fishy, so I went back on *********** to check the price for the original dates and suprise suprise, the price was more than 3x more expensive. I contacted *********** about this and they were able to move the reservation back to the original dates. A few days later, Megas room did exactly the same thing and hiked the price up once again! In the end, my booking was cancelled and I could not be bothered to deal with these people anymore who make their money in the summer and become lazy in the winter months. Funny because, *********** contacted Megas room and they told Booking that they were "overbooked". How can you be overbooked when I booked 5 months ahead of time? And in addition to that, make available the exact same room on the original dates at a higher price? I would stay away from these vultures as they are tampering with guest's reservations for their own financial gain! I understand that Greece is a poor country, but you shouldn't take such selfish and greedy measures for your own financial gain by tampering with guest's reservations the way that Megas Rooms did! STAY AWAY.

Our room was small, but clean. There was a wardrobe cupboard for your clothes, but really nowhere to put you luggage if you didn’t want to unpack it, would have been nice to have a bench or extra chair to put it on. The Wi-Fi was not great, most of the time non existent. Air conditioner worked good. The location is a 15 minute walk from New Port, you are walking for a few minutes on the highway with hardly any shoulder and then a short, but steep up hill to the place. Taxis are hard to get from the port and for a 3 minute drive they charge 15€. The location wasn’t great, you needed to take a SeaBus or bus to Mykonos town where all the restaurants and action is. I would highly recommend being closer to the town. When we arrived no one was there to check us in, we had to call the host and then she contacted the cleaning lady to come help us. The cleaning lady and her husband were great and tried to help even though they didn’t speak English, they were so nice and friendly. The young girl (Anisa ) at reception was awesome, very helpful and gave us lots of recommendations of things to do and restaurants. We didn’t enjoy Mykonos as it is way to commercialized, touristy and very busy.

Albergo con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Siamo stati solo pochi giorni, si trova vicino al porto quindi comodo per il traghetto e si trova in cima ad una piccola salita un po’ ripida ma che con la macchina si fa senza problemi, il personale è davvero disponibile e cortese e la stanza era sempre ben pulita con i colori in tipico stile greco . Vi terranno compagnia dei simpatici gattini

Un capsule hotel è più confortevole! Terribile : rubinetti arrugginiti, non presente il porta carta igienica e sporco e mal tenuto. Ho chiesto di sistemare la stanza perché c’erano peli in doccia e odore di muffa, l’hanno pulita e riempita di deodorante chimico da ambienti. Capisco sia Mykonos ma 270 euro/2 notti per una camera così non ne vale la le pena. Nota positiva: sono posizionati fronte new port.
