Arocaria Mykonos

The room was clean everyday, we received a welcome drink and fruit, and we received a friendly welcome. The private pool is large and beautiful and clean. Mykonos Town is about a 20-25 minute walk away. A nice breakfast area to sit and enjoy with a view of the pool. The bed was clean and confortable. Bathrobe and slippers available in the room. Breakfast is à la carte, with a selection of around 10 dishes, all freshly prepared and good. 1x free bottle water per day Suggestiond for improvement for a 5-star hotel: - Toothbrush holders -automatic store, not worked very well - Holder in the shower for storing things; we had to leave our shower items on the shower floor - A second holder for the shower towels - Requested more shampoo and conditioner, as a small tube wasn't enough for two people. This should be included in a 5-star , after ask we become more tubes -The TV didn't work because the battery was dead we look not TV, but check this when the room are rented -The toilet bowl is practically falling apart. The entrance down by the street is barely lit I regret that the price of 3,600.- for 6 nights and 3 people doesn't correspond to a 5-star hotel. We ate at other 5-star restaurants in town and compared the prices for an overnight stay, which corresponded to the standard of a 5-star hotel. We wanted to order a taxi. They recommended their in-house limousine service, which costs twice as much as other 5-star hotels. A 7-minute ride costs 30 euros, which is outrageous. They claimed we didn't know the taxi prices on the island. But as I said, after more than 30 rides with other private drivers from other hotels and local taxis they were the most expensive. Other hotels offer free ride shuttle. Tipp: If you need a taxi there is a taxi stand in the city where a taxi is immediately available We're not picky, but at a price of almost 3,600 for 6 nights for three people, it's simply not a fair price-performance ratio. However, details are expected for a 5-star rating and an online rating of 9.4 and more

A lovely property . The perks are - private pool which is a great size. The breakfast is plentiful and wonderful quality. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The downside it the location. Taxi / uber is very expensive. We had a great stay thank you.

My husband and I have just arrived back from our holiday at the Arocaria, Mykonos. From the moment we arrived we were cared for by the amazing team they have. Everyone is so happy and with so few guests and so many staff, you are waited on with real care and attention. One factor I really appreciated was the help and advice given from the staff over places to eat, visit and general advice for the island. As you would expect at this price point, extra services are available and really useful. The hotel is happy to book taxis for you and help in anyway they can in your day to day. It’s also worth noting the breakfast is really good. There is a wide selection on the menu and I think it would cater to all tastes. The accommodation itself is brilliant. Sunbeds are super comfortable and never in large demand so you will always get a space. The rooms are large, beds and bedding are very soft and a good sleep is guaranteed. I have read previous reviews noting the steep hill you have to climb in order to reach the hotel and while it really didn’t bother us, it is a climb! However although it’s very steep, it isn’t that long. It’s a 10-20 minute walk into Mykonos town but far enough away you can escape the lively nighttime. Overall I would say if you are considering this hotel, just go ahead and do it. There isn’t really much competition at this price point and considering its location.

A beautiful hotel that looked and felt like a private, high-end, property with $1,000/night rooms without the high-end price tag. We paid around $300/night. An incredible steal! We stayed here for my 40th birthday and it was incredible. We were offered a welcome drink as we arrived - homemade Greek lemonade. When we got to the room, my husband had arranged a little birthday surprise with the staff. I received a huge, beautiful bundle of flowers, an amazing plate of wide-variety sliced fruit, a chilled bottle of sparkling wine, and a bottle of merlot. We immediately celebrated and lounged out at our own little private pool. It was such an amazing first impression. I loved the aesthetic of the room - clean, modern, and chic. You will love the towels. They are super thick and huge. Bath products smelled really nice too. The cabinets had so many shelves and nooks for you to store your clothes. We got room 101, the junior suite with private pool. It was right next door to the reception area. This room looked out to a view of someone’s property, but it wasn’t bad as it was the side of the house with no windows and the owners were never really outside. Our private pool area did give us a partial view of the Aegean Sea and the port where all the cruise ships and ferries come in. The pool itself is not heated. It was our first time in Mykonos and thought everywhere in Greece is hot during the summer and it isn’t necessary to have the pool heated…thinking it was going to be refreshing. We stayed for 3 days on July 6. Well little did we know, because of how windy the island is, a cold pool isn’t much fun. Lol We ended up getting used to the water but it was definitely cold going in. The service is amazing. They all had warm, friendly smiles and treated us very well. It made us feel welcomed, relaxed, and pampered. They also took care of our transfers from the ferry port in Tourlos and our scooter rental. We came in on a Sea Jet from Piraeus, Athens and the property is a 5-min car ride from port. You can take a taxi but it’s a 20 euro minimum charge one way to go anywhere on the island, even if you’re only going a mile up the road. Our transfer was 15 euros per person each way and it beats having to fight for a taxi. We did get a taxi back to port when we checked out and our hotel handled it all for us. The breakfast was excellent and came out tapas-style, fast, and fresh. There was a lot of variety to choose from! Everyday, we got to choose something different and everything was delicious! The best breakfast during our stay in Greece. Every day, they brought us a little Greek treat to our room…it had a marshmallow taste to it with nuts. It was delish! The property is also a short 2-min walk to Zuma (although it’s very steep and you’ll have to take off any heels you’re wearing). We walked over for sunset drinks at 7pm and had no problems without a reservation. I’m sure it helps to dress to impress and look the part. Tip: I’ll give this property 5 s

An amazing hotel, just a short walk from the centre of Mykonos. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. We had a lovely, chilled time and would definitely recommend it. Our room was awesome and kept very clean and tidy. We had a couple of spa treatments, too, which were amazing.

Just spent 6 nights in peak season in Mykonos, with all the crowd all you need is a place to relax. Arocaria Mykonos is the perfect place for that. The hotel has 16 suites, making it a very intimate and relaxing hotel. Rooms are very big for Mykonos standards and the choice of furniture is modern and simple. Big showers, amazing beds and balconies or terraces with breathtaking views. About half of the rooms come with a private pool to make the stay even more intimate. The most important of all is the staff, kind, attentive to needs and preferences and doing everything to make you feel like home. Unforgettable experience just 20min walk away from the old town. Only downside is the airplane noises but once in Mykonos you quickly realize this is the case all over the island due to the location of the airport.
