Review of munnar palace: bad experience! we recently stayed at munnar palace, and unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations. When we arrived, the initial impression of the property seemed decent, but things quickly went downhill. Starting at check-in, we encountered a very rude and unprofessional attitude from the receptionist. His behavior set a negative tone that continued throughout our stay. Once we entered our room, we were hit with a depressing atmosphere; it was dimly lit and felt unwelcoming. The condition of the room was also disappointing. The bedsheets were visibly dirty, with stains that suggested they hadn’t been changed since the last guests. When we requested fresh sheets, the replacements weren’t any better, with noticeable stains as well. The attitude of the staff throughout our stay was consistently unhelpful and indifferent. For example, one evening when we returned from dinner, we found the lobby lights were completely off. My wife felt uneasy entering the pitch-dark lobby, so we called the receptionist to ask if they could turn the lights on for safety. However, instead of helping, he simply told us to turn on the lights ourselves, adding to the overall feeling of disregard. This level of service and lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, especially for a hotel marketed as a three-star establishment. Given our experience, we do not feel this is a safe or comfortable place to stay, whether you are traveling with family, friends, or on your own. I would not recommend munnar palace to anyone looking for a quality and respectful stay. We were extremely disappointed and hope the management will address these issues for future guests.
