Hotel Kemps Corner

The breakfast which was included was above our expectations and the staff there were very friendly. There was also snacks available in the afternoon which was a nice touch as the food was very good. The location of the hotel was good for the south of Mumbai and only 35 mins from the airport in a car. If you have a lot of activities in the north I would maybe recommend against this hotel as there would be a lot of travelling.The door staff and bell boys were also very polite and would go out of their way to do things for you. Unfortunately the worst part of our experience was the reception staff who gave you the feeling of being a burden. A lot of requests and questions were met with short answers and not much of a smile. Lastly the layout of our room was strange with the bed in the centre of the room and next to the phone on the wall which you would knock off the handle if you moved in the night. Also the room was different to the pictures on the site.

According to the description, this hotel is located in Malabar Hill - it's not! Rather just before. The hotel itself was not a standout, in this price segment. The room was incredibly small even if I was smstaying in a luxury room. It had very little storage space, which is necessary when you are going to stay a few nights. They were surprisingly bad at English at the reception for pretending to be a hotel with many international guests. The breakfast was average, I would have expected a better breakfast for the price we paid. In addition, they call and wake you up if you haven't shown up before 10:00. Really strange because I think it's up to me whether I want to eat breakfast or not. Also there was a LOT of birds at the terrace where they serve breakfast. The surrounding area then? Catastrophically bad. Basically just busy streets and a poor selection of restaurants. The hotel is also very far from the attractions down in Colaba. It takes about 45 minutes to get there. So don't believe the times listed, since they have probably been set from the middle of the night when the streets are relatively empty of traffic. Will not book this hotel again.

If you’re looking for a comfortable and yet complete value for money, this Hotel does it. The room and amenities are thought out very well and besides everything else, a super mini chiller was perfect to keep that beer chilled. What impressed me most was the bed and linen which helped me rest well to overcome the fatigue. Their breakfast included whatever you could desire. At the price point being offered in South Mumbai, very close to the costal road and nearby parks, definitely recommend this place.

Hotel has been renovated and rooms were bright and cheerful. Back building better for quietness. Rooms are small and compact. Hotel is in good location and convenient.breakfast was good and had flute players there and foot Massage going on. Would stay there again when in Mumbai.

Except for breakfast and the staff preparing & serving breakfast, I found Hotel Kemp Corner extremely overrated and overpriced for their quality of rooms and service especially. Staff is cold, and is rude at times. They feel like a few robots just following rules and a guide book without necessarily providing a personalized service or experience to the guests. The rooms lack basic amenities not working well. There is negligible pressure in the shower, the room and the lobby area was smelling paint, the towels left fibre all over my body. After complaining about it, I still received the same quality towel the next day. Overall, it is a pretty acreage place for the price.

This is an old property that has been renovated. If you are looking for a clean room, good B&B place in a good location, then you can choose this hotel. Very courteous staff make it even better. Small but tidy rooms make you feel good with adewuate sleep comfort. A decent variety of breakfast buffet. Overall a value for money hotel.
