Purity at Lake Vembanad

This is the most beautiful, relaxing hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Room was amazing with a fab view! Huge thanks to the chef Sahal - the food was to die for! Arya, Mary, Sarath and the rest of the team were so kind and treated us like queens - no request was too big. We’ll be back!!

We stayed at Purity @ Lake Vembanad and had such a lovely time. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly. A special mention to Mary at the front desk, Arya and Suresh in the restaurant, and Chef Anoop. They all went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The property is peaceful, the grounds were adorned with stone sculptures of Ganesha and on the whole beautifully maintained. Sitting by the garden and watching the lake, fishermen passing by, watching the birds was very soothing. The complimentary canoe ride in the evening was a really a highlight. We chose to go around sunset since this was monsoon and it was quite worth it . I also tried their Ayurvedic massage and it was very relaxing. I was celebrating my birthday during the trip and The Chef, Mary and crew went out of their way and presented me with a birthday cake and a beautifully decorated table. They offer complimentary yoga at 6:30 am, though we skipped it due to rainy mornings. The food was decent overall—fresh and tasty and the staff were happy to adjust things to our liking. Only downside was the aircon was in the living space and the room was massive and the bed area didn't have much of cooling. The room had a few baby geckos from the nearby vegetation. Overall, it was a really memorable and peaceful stay.

My friend and I stayed in Purity for 3 days. Was amazing. Food, Massage, boat activities and yoga classes. The staff is so caring and they are the ones who made this trip unique. A warm thank you to Arya, Suresh, Vishnu and Mary. We will miss them as much as the place :)

We had a wonderful stay - absolute tranquility in the beautiful hotel with its gorgeous garden, with opportunities to take day trips for sightseeing. The courtyard is a lovely, shaded place to enjoy the fantastic food (we had a great tasting menu from chef Sahar on our last night). The pool has a wonderful view over the lake and the Ayurvedic massages are amazing. Thank you Mary, Arya and Suresh for looking after us so well. This was a truly memorable trip.

We had a fabulous 6 days at Purity. The people are extremely welcoming and really want you to have the best stay. The hospitality shines through with smiles, warmth and kindness. Our treatment was five star from start to finish with Mary greeting us at the door, helping us to organise our days when needed, and always checking in with us to ensure everything was ok. She guided us on where to buy the best spices and organised someone to apply Henna Art. Arya, the Restaurant Captain ***** with Vishnu and Suresh delivered excellent service with passion and enthusiasm, day and night. The smiles were plentiful. Anoop, the Chef, has created a varied and quality menu, we ate something different each day and were not disappointed, the food is a real strength at Purity with fresh fish in abundance. The rooms were really nice, beds comfortable and air conditioning that worked! We had daily yoga with Naiju that enhanced the stay. All in all, a superb 6 days in a wonderful setting. We will definitely return.

First class hotel. The staff were great, especially receptionist Mary and the lady in charge of the restaurant. We did not only get an upgrade to a sea-view suite but could also leave all our belongings in the room while we went on our backwater house boat trip for 24 hours. The cooking was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
