Comfort Inn & Suites Mount Pocono

I had the chance to visit family in MT Pocono Pa at the Comfort Inn Suites August 4/5/6/ 20230 i used my Bank debit card the funds were taken out put on hold until i checked out Sunday morning i checked my checking account the next day funds were removed from my checking amount was less the $432.84 for the stay at the Hotel now 1 year later i get a statement saying i owe the funds now i have a large overdraft on my checking account my Bank NF is giving me the run around and so is Comfort Inn Suites i am not the only one several others are experiencing the same problem also ownership changed in the last ??? sounds like someone had their hand in the cookie jar im hoping for a solution i should not have to pay twice ?the first owner created the situation and i will have to find a way to retrieve my funds im the 7 other persons can find a solution too Otis Waterman Jr

Serious Safety issues here. We checked at 3:30pm with a bunch of other people. We were assigned a hotel room, and were in a state of undress getting ready for a wedding when our room door opened and another couple walked in. They were assigned the same room that we were already in. Quickly getting dresses, I went to the hallway and the other guest apologized however the hotel staff member in the hallway said nothing to me. We then figured out about 20 min later, that our hotel key didn't work. I had to go to the front desk and she said that it didn't work since the room was re-keyed to the other guest. Several points of failure here - 1) another guest assigned our room 2) no apology at the time that it happened 3) they didn't notify us that our key wouldn't work any longer. Additionally, they did NOT check any Ids at checkin nor when I went back to the front desk to get a new key. No ids were checked at any time. Note: After talking to other relatives, several of them were also assigned 'duplicate room' -- but most figured that out in the hallway when they both tried to get into the room. Other less serious issues during our stay included: no light bulb in one of the bed side lamps; dirty bathroom wall; walls with spackle on them ; a coffee machine that wouldn't stop dispensing hot coffee no matter how many times the stop button was pushed; no water available at breakfast; we didn't receive the wedding gift bag at checkin. Honestly one of the worst stays I've ever had a hotel.

I recently stayed here and used my debit card and didn’t use it after that the next day I see all these charges on walmart in the same area I called to speak with management and can’t get anyone on phone and Had actually gotten hung up on and was told they couldn’t find my name or booking information in their system and no call back from management. Pretty disappointing this is how a business runs.

The room was dirty. It had not been vacuumed and ramen was spilled on the floor. The staff was not all that friendly and some of the staff were complaining about their jobs on their phone while working.

Had a fantastic stay. The hotel is clean, quiet, great for families. The staff are OMG FANTASTIC they are so patient and helpful! Would definitely recommend visiting Comfort Inn. Will be visiting again!

Lobby very nice, rooms clean. But on arrival we were given keys to an already occupied room! They kept saying computer would not do this but the fact that there were clothes and a suitcase in the room made it a reality. We were given another room and luckily fi0r who ever had that room were honest. Breakfast was over promptly at 9 AM. Food was removed promptly at 9 as another guest with a child tried to make breakfast.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Mt. Pocono in April, 2023 for three (3) nights. I was there on business. Our family stays almost exclusively in the Choice Hotels brand for both personal and business trips and have seen many highs and lows with the brand throughout our travels. The Comfort Inn in Mt. Pocono is a comfortable, clean property. My room was a king suite and appeared to “formerly” be a hot tub suite, however, there is a sign in the room which indicated that the hot tub is no longer functional (which was fine with me because I did not book a hot tub suite anyways). The room was average, but clean. All lights worked, the refrigerator, microwave, and television all worked without issue. The internet connected with no issues, and I used it extensively to complete a few business-related tasks. In the bathroom, the toilet was fine but the shower needed some routine maintenance. The shower head desperately needs replaced; however hot water was not an issue. The “transition” flooring piece between the bathroom flooring and the main room carpet was missing and therefore, there were a few visible caulking “blobs” visible where the “transition” piece should be installed. I utilized the exercise room which was fine. The equipment is basic but is in working condition. The exercise room had a television. I did not use the pool, but it did appear a bit cloudy and the hot tub, as others have mentioned, is not functional. The breakfast was fantastic and the breakfast seating area was very nice, clean, and updated. Breakfast included an assortment of hot and cold foods. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The business center did not have a functioning printer, but they did offer the document I needed printed to be emailed to them and they could print it for me. I am sure they do not get many requests for use of their business center, but it was nice they could accommodate me. I would stay here again. It’s not a Hilton… doesn’t claim to be, but for the area and the price, you can have a nice, relaxing stay in a clean room with a good breakfast. Yes, there are updates that can (and should) be done to the rooms. As others have noted, one of the stairwells does smell of smoke but the other stairwell at the other end of the hotel is fine. The smoke in the one stairwell is due to employees smoking outside and propping the door open. I imagine by the smell, this happens routinely. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay when you are in the Mt. Pocono area. Again, understand what you are getting (and not getting) and do not have unreasonable or unrealistic expectations for the property. They certainly can (and should) keep updating and improving the guest experience. However, I enjoyed my stay, slept well, had a great breakfast each day, enjoyed the exercise room, and the friendly staff made the stay enjoyable. For the area, the price was fair. I would encourage this Comfort Inn to keep improving the rooms as

Lobby was very nice and in fact was in the process of having the flooring replaced with wood and was nearly finished. Breakfast area was very nice with well spaced tables and chairs. Selection in breakfast area was fine -- a lot of choices cold and hot plus fruit, muffins, donuts, bagels etc. Room was clean, amenities were all present. Policy is that you don't get fresh towels or the bed changed unless you request it. We were staying two nights and understand the attempt to conserve water by not changing towels every day -- also it's a money saver for the owners -- and I suspect that's the biggest factor. I could tolerate that BUT what I couldn't tolerate was returning to the room on Tuesday at 5 PM and finding the bed unmade and the trash not emptied. I didn't request a linen change but having the room attendant make up the bed and empty the trash seemed to be the minimal I should receive for playing over $100 per night. Have traveled for over 50 plus years -- by ship and train and plane and car and never have I stayed anywhere that the bed wasn't remade each day by the room attendant. I wouldn't stay here again and have stayed at many Comfort Inns and never had this issue.
