"The room was basic, but very clean. Acceptable for a one night stay. The bathroom was stocked with everything you need, and again, was very clean but small. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I would have given this a 3.5 star rating, except there is a light right outside the room, which shines directly onto your face whilst you are trying to sleep. I have suggested that the window be blocked out to prevent this."

"Room was mostly as expected. Cleanliness was good, access to the room was simple and good. The fire evacuation plan was hand drawn which i found peculiar, but it served the purpose regardless I suppose. Our stay was ok, short of a singular line of events. Unfortunately due to the chill, we turned the wall heater on. The smoke/dust erupting from it set off the smoke alarm, which was concerningly quiet (as someone who is hearing impaired) and erratic. It would proceed to go off intermittently late at night and early the next morning with no obvious trigger, forcing us to fan the wooden door to get it to stop chirping. The desk was notified upon departure, but I can only point it to poor maintenance of electrics, and also that the wall mounted unit had not been cleaned nor serviced in some time. Was it worth what we paid for one night? I don't think it was too bad. Had the smoke alarm incident not have occurred, it would have been a very convenient and quiet stay. I hope the issues we faced were remedied, as the desk did thank us for notifying them of the problem. - so they are aware of it."
