The Broadwater Guest House

Excellent guest house! We had a spectacular sea view from our bedroom, prefect for watching the sunsets and waking up to the beautiful bay. The bed was so comfortable, great tech in the room with the Dyson fan, straighteners and hair dryer. Everything was spotless and we appreciated the organic products for the shower/bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful, wide range of options and food cooked to order, all cooked perfectly and high quality products again. David was a lovely host, who made us feel welcome and we saw him give a personalised service to all guests. We highly recommend staying here. It is just a short walk into town and is the quieter end so it was nice and peaceful.

I have just had the most enjoyable break at the Broadwater Guest House as I was visiting relatives nearby. David is the perfect host. I booked a single room but due to a cancellation he offered me the double room instead. The room was well equipped with all that you needed and much more besides. Good choice of cereals etc at breakfast or a traditional cooked breakfast if required. I shall definitely be returning

Stayed with David at the Broadwater I don’t know how many times now but for 8 years , the rooms are so comfortable and attention to detail is above anything you can imagine , fresh flowers in the rooms as well as Dyson hairdryer, straighteners and fan everything is superb quality , the breakfast cooked by David himself is perfect nothing is a problem for him , from the minute he opens the front door he takes your luggage to your room then comes back with tea and cake we can not fault this place at all , we already have another two bookings in , see you in 12 weeks

Our third visit and I have put unsurpassed because taking everything into account, it is. Having travelled extensively round the world for over 60 years, I haven't come across better. I speak as an ordinary traveller and I'm sure that were I mega rich, there might be places out there but they would come at a stupendous and vulgar cost and I believe that they would still lack the personal touch that David provides. We love the views from room 3 and never tire of sitting in the chairs, watching the tide come in and go out. You would think that it is always the same but it is constantly changing and there is always something different to see, providing the weather lets you. We were fortunate and probably the best weeks weather of the year. It was nice to see Alan back and looking well and the new lady was also very nice. Food was as delicious as ever and we loved David's omelettes. Not on the menu but available on request. We are missing our pots of fruit on an evening. The bathroom products have changed and are perfectly fine but on a personal note, I did prefer the previous pink hand-wash on the washbasin. It had an amazing lather and such a nice smell. Thankyou for another lovely stay and birthday surprise and we already looking forward to next year.

Superb guesthouse in a great sea front location. The host, David, is so helpful and goes out of his way for everyone and nothing is too much trouble for him. Always there to meet you and then help with carrying baggage to the room - followed by a nice coffee. The whole place is immaculately clean and very cosy throughout. It is already well documented in previous reviews regarding the high end appliances in the rooms - Dyson hair care,Dyson fans,Roberts radios,etc. The complimentary tea/coffee trays contain a great variety of drinks. There is always some snacks/biscuits/confectionery items included. The breakfast choices are very comprehensive and absolutely amazing - something for everyone ! Plenty of restaurants,cafes,pubs,etc within walking distance. David is always willing to advise on any subject - whether it's on somewhere to eat, shopping,the local bus services,etc. Highly recommended guesthouse complimented by the superb host,David. We will like many other guests return soon. Sam & Chris.

Greetings to my readers, yes we’re back here again for our first holiday of the year. Everything is as usual to the highest standard. Milk in the fridge, selection of chocolates and snacks (replenished daily), everything absolutely perfect, this year David has a new attraction, even if it’s a dull wet day, he has the lovely Rachel serving breakfast!!! Beauty with your breakfast, what more could you want???
