I have no idea when the room was cleaned. No additional pillows or blankets; no ability to use the safe; no light-globe in the dirty bedside lamp; no power-points to plug chargers in; the one chair had not been cleaned. Entrance was dark.....

We attended at the Peninsula for lunch with a large group yesterday. We regularly attend venues with a group of 20 for celebrations. Food can definitely vary but we always get to eat…until yesterday. There was one hour between the first meal at our table arriving and the last, one meal didn’t arrive at all, and one was raw, burnt, and then inedible. Whilst 90% might be a good score on an exam, I don’t think anyone expects less than 100% of meals to actually be received. This was a very poor experience, particularly given the meal not received was for a mother on Mother’s Day. Our waiter was lovely and attempted to get all of the meals. We were told there was no manager working and so couldn’t discuss our difficulties with anyone else. Very disappointed 😞

Dining with a friends group, the food was terrible and the service non existent. We waited a long time to receive meals that were staggered and in the end one person received a refund as he felt he know longer wanted to wait. My meal (a parma) was tasteless and dry and chips were cold, and I paid $27.41, I should have asked for a refund. No excuse for limited staff , don't charge the price if you cannot provide what you advertise!!! .

Attended for a family meal and ordered three items of standard pub fare (a parma, a burger and a salad). Some 70 minutes later and still nothing. We gave up and decided to leave. The manager (who was not wearing a mask, despite all customers and other staff being obliged to) refunded our money but offered little sense of apology and no inducement to return. A shortage of staff was the reason given, although given the procession of meals and Uber Eats orders that left the kitchen, including to diners who arrived well after us, it seems more likely they simply lost our order. So, less down to short-staffing than sheer incompetence. Either way, we won't be returning and can't recommend anyone else visits either.
