If you're planning a trip to Tallahassee, you absolutely need to check out this magical place! It’s a hidden gem filled with treasures and rich history at every turn. Cathy and Scott are incredibly welcoming hosts, making the experience even more special. The dinner and breakfast were fantastic, and to top it all off, we enjoyed a wonderful evening at the local opera house. Every moment here felt like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of history. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable stay!

Wow!! What a cool place we found by accident. Definitely going back. My husband and I truly enjoyed the whole experience. Our room was very comfortable and the food was delicious. We found out that guests can even come for “Tea” or a meal without having to spend the night. Everything is just as it looks online, which is a nice change. Cathy and Scott were very gracious and entertaining. Thank you for sharing your amazing home.

Stopped in on our way back to Sarasota from Natchez. The hosts were gracious and entertaining. The breakfast was superb, including coffee served in heated bone china cups. The town Monticello was also very charming. We will definitely stop by again.

My husband and I were looking for a unique place for our first night away from home with our 3 month old. We certainly found it in the Daffodale house! We stayed in Safari Room and our bed was SO comfortable! The breakfast was as amazing as the bed. This B&B has its priorities straight! The hosts are amazing. Kathy welcomed us warmly, prepared an amazing dinner complete with homemade bread, and cooked a fabulous breakfast with the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. After dinner Scott showed us his eclectic mix of treasures and told some great stories! We were sad to go but are already looking forward to coming back! We can’t recommend this place enough! It’s not just a place to stay the night, it’s a complete experience!

We were traveling to Central Florida from Georgia and were utterly exhausted and decided to make a stop and it became Monticello. I made a last minute call and miraculously they had two rooms available. Even more miraculously, on this day, they served a scrumpdeliocious dinner. We each had something different. Ribeye, lasagna, and mahi-mahi. Mmmmm, mmmmm, gggggrrrrrreeeeeeaaaaaaatttttt!!!!! The best salad I have ever had! And the homemade bread… out of this world! Breakfast was fantastic, too! Such gracious hosts! And fun-nee!!! And something to admire in every nook and cranny of the home & carriage house! I hope our travels find our way back to Monticello… soon!

Scotty and Cathy are warm and helpful hosts. We had a great time with them even though we were only there for one night. It’s a big ol’ Victorian style house which has been decorated to within an inch of its life. I can only imagine how fun it was to raid flea markets and antique shops. We had other plans for dinner so I can’t comment on the food. I like that they use lovely old china and glassware on cloth covered tables, even for breakfast. Scott is quite a character. We had a great time with him. We hope to visit again if we are in the area.

Great time and super interesting place. The hosts were a lot of fun and very interesting. Had a great time. Thank you for being so accomodating! Super comfortable bed, great shower pressure, alllll good. Will be back soon no doubt. Ghost tour next time.

The owners Scottie and Cathy quickly made us feel like we were truly staying with family - with warm welcomes, home-cooked meals, and inviting stories. My son and I traveled to Florida for a quick getaway from Atlanta. The place was so much more than we expected - it is a delightful collection of antiques, spirits, and stories galore. Scottie and Cathy went out of their way to make us feel like we were visiting our favorite Aunt and Uncle. We wandered around a state park together, sat on rocking chairs on the front porch, exchanged silly anecdotes, cracked jokes, and shared delicious desserts. It was a home away from home that we did not know we were missing. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed here after visiting the little town. The host and hostess (Cathy and Scott) were very friendly. We didn't do the ghost tour this time but I can't wait to go back for that. Breakfast was amazing and Scott sat and told us amazing stories. They truly made our stay an wonderful experience and we cannot wait to stay again.
