Buenisima atención, instalaciones y desayuno. La comida del restoran waves muy rica también (de las mejores carnes que hemos comido). Mi favorito del hotel la cafeteria y sus helados y frapucinos. Lo unico malo es que como fuimos en pandemia no había muchas actividades de entretención, pero es entendible. Y el ascendor que funcionaba muy lento porque el otro estaba en mantención.

Super high satisfaction with the Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort and Spa in Jamaica. We thought it was fabulous! Highly recommendable. A great price for a package that offered everything we expected/wanted in a 5 star hotel. Rooms were nice and spacious and clean, with great views, and maid service was reliable. Lots of restaurants to choose from, and all super delicious and a great variety. (there was a trick to some, you had to arrive early just as they opened, to get a table, but once we had that figured out, we coped well.) Bars were plentiful, and drinks delicious and not watered down as in some all-inclusive hotels. Service was super friendly, kind, respectful, and generally efficient (if sometimes understaffed). Pools were clean, beach was nice. Golf carts would take you from one building to another if you couldn't walk (although the distances were not unreasonable between them). Nightly entertainment, and food at the Jamaican nights, were great. We had a couple of start up issues: our bracelets to get into the room when we arrived, didn't work; it turned out the door battery was dead, and had to be fixed. (that was taken care of within a couple of hours). The TV controller we were given was from outer space; we could not figure out the black unit with only two circles and no writing, and the help we got from the staff member that the front desk sent the first time was useless. The second time we called about the same thing, a different staff replaced the controller with one like we have here in Canada, and we could use. Upon our arrival, tired and hungry, the first restaurant we went to (the steak house) said they were fully booked. The second (the international) said the waiting list was 2 hours, and the third one (Italian) was closed. We went back to the 2 hour waiting restaurant, sat in a bar, and I was served the worst house wine I have ever had. I asked for another brand of house wine with the next glass, and it was better. The restaurant that we finally got into after the wait, had by then run out of some of their menu items, and we had to choose again. That was the worst, the first day entirely, we wondered if it was going to be so bad for the next week. It wasn't. After that, we figured out where the other restaurants were, we arrived for dinner very early so we could get in (they wouldn't take reservations), and we got a daily list from the concierge of which restaurants were closed that day. I found other wines that were good, and we met people who recommended restaurants and their particular dishes. And the lack of required tipping (we frequently tipped modestly, food and service were so good) was just wonderful. Temperature every day was 29 degrees, perfect! There is a beach, two pools, hot tubs, lots of loungers. If you are looking for a great place in Montego Bay, this would be a recommendation. I wouldn't mind going back again, to those warm memories.

We just returned from an incredible and relaxing vacation at Jewel Grande Montego Bay, and I have to say—the food was outstanding! I’ve never had better food at a resort before. A huge shoutout to Toby at Waves, who went above and beyond for us. He even ordered pizza in advance for our children, knowing they loved it—such a thoughtful touch! We also had a butler service, and I can’t say enough about Aston and Denton. They were amazing—making dinner reservations for us every night and even bringing us food on the beach! The overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, with no blaring music all the time, which we really appreciated. Each night featured a show, which, while not extraordinary, was still entertaining and gave us something to do. That said, MC Whitney was fantastic—she knew exactly how to engage and energize the crowd! All in all, it was a great experience, and I would definitely return. Of course, no hotel is perfect, and there were some minor blips, but nothing significant enough to take away from our trip. Looking forward to visiting again!

Booked via VRBO and stayed in 1 bdrm condo with 2 baths. We have always done an all inclusive and thought we would try something a little different. We had all the access to the Jewel Grande. We just paid for our food and drinks. Stayed in bldg B second floor. Review is based on resort not condo. Staff were excellent. Check in very seamless and loved that it was not far from the airport. Stopped at a grocery store to stock up. Accessibility warning! This resort has a ton of stairs. Be prepared! This is our sixth time to Jamaica and we have always found that we could snorkel right off the beach. This resort has a very limited beach area and the water is extremely shallow. We had no issues finding beach chairs under some shade on the beach every day. We didn’t show up until after 10 each day and there were always your classic beach chair savers but somehow we got lucky. I think we also picked a somewhat quiet week. There is a ton of shade because of the large buildings. Unless you are a 5 year old do not even plan on packing your snorkel gear unless you go off the resort on an excursion. Contrary to some reviews staff were raking up the sea grass washing up on shore. Sadly they also had to deal with the garbage washing up all long the beach. We spent zero time at the pool. Service along the beach was good. Tip these girls they work hard. Take the complimentary Hobie out each day. Tip the guys who take you out. They work hard. It’s a beautiful way to see the resort. The resort is quite spread out. Again many many stairs. We golfed at Cinnamon Hill one day which was great. Restaurants were all pretty good. Staff excellent. Food good. Definitely not cheap if you aren’t on the AI plan. The resort was a mix of everything. Families, girl trips, couples and wedding groups. There was entertainment every night if you wanted to partake. Very loud especially if you are in B or C building but it was done by 9:30 ish. There did seem to be ongoing maintenance all over the resort. The grounds were beautiful. I would say it does seem a little tired. Bldg B only one elevator was operating all week. We would not go back because of the beach and shallow water.

This a lovely hotel with a lot of potential but it needs renovations and refreshing. Infrastructure 4* (bones are good) Beach 4* (needs a small tractor for seaweed) Pools 4* (Need new unistone) Restaurants 4.5* (delicious with good service) Service 4.5* (attentive with a smile) Rooms 3.5* (Bldg C was renovated but not A&B) Hallways 2* (worst I’ve seen in a long time) Lobby and Common Areas 3* Bars 3.5* (fountain drinks flat) Maintenance 2.5* (hot water spotty, AC struggles, some sockets don’t work, some lights flicker, 6 of 8 beach showers don’t work, one elevator was out for our entire stay and the other was down one day and we had to use the service elevator) If you can be assured of a room in Bldg C, I wouldn’t hesitate to book here. Bldg A & B are hit and miss. They are spacious and comfortable but have lots of electrical, HVAC and plumbing issues and need refreshing to modern standards and second sinks in the bathrooms! When we arrived it was a complete miss. Our 2br suite with ocean view had an unspecified issue so they put us in 2 x 1br ocean view suites. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise but at first we were not happy and were denied an upgrade. The weather didn’t help our mood so I requested a transfer to one of their sister properties (Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara, Hilton Rose Hall) all owned by the same franchisee. I was denied by the hotel and by the local tour representative; Island Tours who were tasked by Air Canada Vacations our tour operator. This was a missed opportunity on all fronts. An unhappy customer is an opportunity not a problem. They should have moved us to the Hyatt Ziva next door at no cost to them but didn’t. Or at least upgraded us to bldg C or an Ocean Front in A or B. Fortunately the weather improved and we began to taste and feel the charm of the Jewel through the Rough. With a lot of love and hard work this resort could be great again!

This was our 2nd time visiting jewel Grande and both times have been excellent. The staff is friendly and always trying to help. Food quality, spa service and all of the staff is top notch. We've officially found our winter vacation spot. Jewel staff keep up the good work

Marketed as a 5 star resort and, while it does have amenities that fulfil the label, it falls short of any 5 star resort I have experienced. Poor quality bedding, worn interiors, ineffective air-conditioning, no hot water! I don't plan on staying here again. CHECK-IN: Completely chaotic and disjointed. My party had 2 rooms booked - 3 BR Beachside Villa with Butler, 2 BR Suite with Butler. One of the rooms was not ready when we arrived despite the fact that we ran late and showed up at 5pm for a 4 pm check in time. When I complained I was told that 4pm is the time they choose to "start the check-in process" but that does not guarantee the room will be ready - in all my years of travel to all 5 contents I have never heard THAT one before. Check-in time is universally accepted as time a guest should expect their room to be available! It wasn't until we had waited till 6pm and I was by then VERY annoyed and insisted on speaking to a manager that I was offered an apology and compensation - a $50/hr past check-in credit - keep this in mind if you find yourself in the same situation. This was credited to the room at checkout - so you will have to spend something beyond the all-inclusive to take advantage of it. ROOMS: Generally dated - lots of chips on kitchen cupboards and doors that make it feel very 3 star, US$3700/night villa with double beds in the bedrooms seems really poor choice, and the mattresses and bedding were not great quality. For both our rooms the air con in common areas was great, the bedrooms were inadequate nights were quite uncomfortable - when maintenance checked, they agreed it was blowing warm air and recommended we turn on the fan. Kitchen was a large kitchen with a full fridge with not even one plate or set of cutlery - we had to request drinking glasses and they never came - some wine glasses did eventually. And then there was the hot water. There was none. In BOTH our rooms which were in different buildings in the resort, we all took cold/Luke warm showers for the whole of our stay. Housekeeping were generally good but they chose to leave fresh towels on the dining room table not refresh them in the en suites - 5 star treatment?? BUTLER SERVICE: Not really sure what this was meant to be but other than making dinner reservations for us, they didn't seem to do very much. I was told it was about VIP service. They called us VIPs a lot, but when it came to actually fulfillig requests - "not available" was the perpetual response. I don't think this is worth the extra money you pay, so I'd recommend skipping it. You are paying to be CALLED a VIP, not be treated like one. Speaking of reservations: Dinner reservations and Beach cabanas book out well before our stay - we had to have dinner at 8-9pm each night (with 2 kids in our party) because all the other times were booked - or you can go to the buffet which does not require bookings but you still have to wait for a table (even for breakfast), and the hostess

The resort is in a beautiful location along the white sand beaches and aqua blue water! The resort staff were so courteous, friendly and kind. The food was amazing and they made sure to make my birthday a special day while I was there it was wonderful! Shout out to the cook that grilled that delicious **** chicken on the beach every day! . My only complaint was with our first room And I think it was, the whole building was out of hot water for three days and they had no other rooms available. They did try to accommodate by sending us to the spa for showers, which is a little bit of inconvenience. Our sliding glass door wad also broken. The seal broke off along with the door coming apart, causing water all over the floor from the Rain we were having off and on. Once we changed rooms, we still had our beautiful ocean view. The bed was a bit too hard for me. other than that, I had a fabulous time we did get rained out one day because there was the hurricane coming so my friend and I went to the spa and I have to say we both said it had to of been the best massage we ever had. The spa was wonderful along with the staff ! I luckily was able to take the Hobie cat out a couple days where the water wasn’t too rough and I had so much fun and the staff was great and also told me a little bit of the history of the island As well. Thank you to all the Jewel Grande staff that made my Jamaican Birthday Trip such a great experience!

We had a wonderful time at this resort! It was our 1st time at this resort, so we were a little lost, but these workers were so helpful and made it so fun! Special thanks to Dwayne for making our sailing adventures unforgettable. His service was top-notch. From the singing with us, to making us book a trip for next year!!! Highly recommend this resort!
