Hôtel Les 2 Alpes L'Orée Des Pistes

Fantastic ski hotel, Located within a minutes walk to the lift and can ski back to boot room door snow permitting. Central to bus stop, shops, bars and supermarkets. The hotel is very comfortable, rooms are recently renovated with very comfortable beds and great bathrooms (bath a bonus). We had two rooms which were both of a good standard. Food wonderful, excellent selection at breakfast with cooked items as well as being able to boil your own eggs. Dinner in the evening came with good choices, excellent salad bar and wine or soft drink. Great ski hotel and would definitely recommend

This is a perfectly located hotel to be close to slopes and to amenities and local bars. We stayed for half board offer but often chose to eat here on a lunchtime as menu good and reasonably priced. Staff were fantastic, rooms were clean and had decent size balcony. Breakfast buffet was varied, always plenty of room no rush for tables. Busier on an evening for dinner. People less likely to rush their meals as the wine was unlimited so families took their time (and why not!) to enjoy the free flowing red and white wine. Reception team were really helpful at all times. Bootroom was large and heated. We didn’t use the spa / sauna room

Have stayed here 3 times and this year was the most expensive but because we liked it we came back. Staff are lovely but everything now costs extra . The evening dinner which used to be an open buffet is now downscaled with far less choice and food disappointing. Teenagers used to live the varied buffet but now it’s limited starters, limited deserts and cheese and choose one main course. We had steak which was awful so will eat out when we can as not much price difference at 30 euros a head having already paid 4000 euros for bed and breakfast for 3 people. Won’t be coming back

A brilliant weeks skiing. Half board food was first class, staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was big with a great view of the slopes. And the location could not have been better. Right in the slopes, next to the two main lifts in resort, 50m from two hire shops. The door from the boot room is straight onto the snow. All in all a fantastic place to stay, highly recommend.

e have had a lovely stay at Belambra L’Oree des Pistes. The hotel really has catered for everything we needed in a ski holiday. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed but the staff had laid on a cold buffet for us which was fantastic after a long journey. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and fresh. Lots of fresh croissants/pain au chocolat and bread. Cereal, meats, eggs, fruit etc. The buffet style evening meal was different each night with a mixture of local dishes and family favourites. There was always something for everyone and unlimited salad bar, bread and fresh cheeses. Total bonus was the unlimited red/white wine on tap! Lovely wine too. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily with fresh towels when we needed them. Rainfall shower as well as a normal shower was nice. My once complaint would be the pillows weren’t the best. A balcony was a nice extra along with the USB charging points. There is a ski and boot storage room under the hotel and you are given a free lockable locker for the duration of your stay. It was plenty but enough with 4 sets of skis/boots and helmets stored safely and securely. We could not have asked for a better location of the Piste! It was ski in/out and right next to the ‘white egg’ gondola. All other lifts very close by. We explored both sides of the mountain from here and didn’t need to use a shuttle bus (although free!) once. We had an hours family ski lesson each morning - ski as early as you can as that is the best time with least amount of people and best snow! We used The European Ski School and Paulina was fantastic! She was so helpful with not only our ski technique but with tips about getting around the resort. The location is right in the middle of town and all shops and bars are within walking distance. On every Thursday in high season ESF ski school hold a free ski light and firework show on the piste right outside the hotel. It was great to watch and if you are lucky to have a piste facing room you can watch it from your balcony! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would fully recommend the hotel.

Stopped here as a group if 5 adults for apres ski hot chocolate drinks - it wasn’t busy as they’d just stopped serving food-!! but despite smiles to gain the attention of the waitresses (of which there were at least 3) and being completely ignored for almost 10 minutes I resorted to approaching one of them - to be very rudely told to sit down and the waitress would come. After another 5 minutes of being clearly ignored I tried to order at the bar, saying that I’d like to order please, to be snapped at VERY rudely to WAIT - shouted at in fact across the terrace - by the waitress who should have served us. I have never in 30 years of ski holidays been spoken to so rudely by waiting staff! I don’t normally feel moved to write negative reviews but you snd they need to know such a rude attitude is quite unnecessary and uncalled for! I wasn’t being rude or demanding, I just wanted to order some hot chocolates! Needless to say we moved 50m to the cafe next door which was incredibly polite and full of charming staff.
