Tenuta Monacelle

I stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed with my experience. The most significant issue was the loud music that played until 2:30AM .with large wedding parties. The noise permeated the entire hotel, including the guest rooms, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Despite complaints to the management, nothing was done to address this disturbance. In addition to the noise problem, the rooms were tired and outdated, in need of refurbishment. The decor was old-fashioned, and the furnishings showed significant wear and tear, which detracted from the overall comfort and appeal of the stay. The breakfast was another letdown. The selection was poor, with limited choices and subpar quality. It felt more like an afterthought than a well-prepared meal to start the day. Overall, this hotel failed to meet my expectations in several key areas. For anyone seeking a restful and pleasant stay, I would recommend looking elsewhere until these issues are addressed.

This is a wedding and events hotel so if you want a peaceful or restful break - go elsewhere. The first night there was a wedding so dinner was very noisy with poor service and very poor food. Our second night there was a very noisy party which made dinner very unpleasant - still very poor food. The staff were mostly surly and unhelpful (exceptions being the dark-haired lady serving in the restaurant and Sante and Florian at reception who were charming and very helpful). The breakfasts were not great and there was often no fresh fruit at the buffet unless you asked them to get some, which they did unwillingly. Housekeeping poor - we were given a sachet with 2 single tissues for 2 of us to last 4 nights, 1 small tube of strong cherry body wash and 2 tiny soaps. The bathroom smelt of drains and the shower fittings were coming off the wall. Curtais very thin and stained, hairdryer really poor (only got to lukewarm). Other members of our group had to change rooms because of problems - one couple changed TWICE !! Generally very poor. You have been warned.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Stayed half board and food was fantastic and varied. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Pool area perfect for relaxing with plenty of shade under trees if needed, very peaceful. We would definitely stay here again if returning to this area of Italy.

Here we are towards the end of October on a holiday that we’ve waited for for 3 years due to COVID. It’s been worth the wait! We are sitting by the pool and have the whole area to ourselves because despite it being 25 degrees it’s too cold for Italians. The grounds and buildings are beautiful, we are surrounded by trees and there are blue tits throwing massive acorns from the trees above us! It’s a magical place. The buffet breakfast we had this morning was great - choices of cheese, meat, breads, fruit, cereal, cake (cake for breakfast!) corni (we opted for Nutella stuffed corni) and plenty of other Italian fare to choose from. The coffee really hit the spot. Our room is really well presented and comfortable. I’m here with my mum and sister and we each have a single bed in one of the masserie. Love the bathroom and the complimentary basket of toiletries. Having a chilled out day today, by the pool and looking forward to exploring the region over the coming week. We booked our holiday with Ingrams and it included a hire car. Our first drive down into Fasano last night took us down a hair raising steep road filled with hairpin bends - not ideal for a first time driver on Italian roads. But we made it and the car is still in one piece!

This hotel is located in lovely grounds with a good pool area that doesn't get overcrowded. There is a huge orchard where can 'pick your own' cherry, figs and apricots when they're in season. The rooms are good, although we found the bed to be hard, there was no milk for tea or coffee and we had a spa bath rather than a shower. It looks as though they were hit hard by the pandemic and are trying hard to recover. The service is not where it should be and some rooms need a little upkeeping. That said we where there for a wedding, which I believe is the main focus of the hotel. The wedding was a great experience, well catered and managed. The party by the pool with candles and flame torches was fabulous.

We stayed here for several days for a wedding. The wedding was wonderful, and the room was very comfortable. The grounds are also lovely and the pool is great. The service is a bit lackluster, however. It was often difficult or impossible to find someone to make a coffee or drink, and the bartenders were unsure of how to make drinks (vodka soda was served with tonic; an aperol spritz came as a glass of pure aperol). The wifi is also quite poor in the room, but that's ok if you're on holiday. If they stepped the service up a bit this place could be really spectacular.
