Hotel Liberty Resort

This is a case of you pay for what you get, but for the same price, we stayed in much nicer hotels and guest houses in Tunisia throughout our trip. The positives; the hotel is affordable and in a decent location, within walking distance of the beach, the pool is also great and the food was good. The downsides; The hotel is very outdated and aged, the bedding cushions, bed spreads, napkins and table cloths were all stained and worn (the cotton bed sheets were fine however). Some of our bathroom towels were not washed and cleaned at all, our hand towel still had the previous guests make up wiped on it. The aircon in our room didn't work, so we had to sleep with the balcony sliding doors open, which made for a nosey nights sleep. The reception staff and some of the other staff were professional and friendly, but in the main, the waiters and kitchen staff treated you like they were doing you a favour, some didn't even bother to help when asked - like for a menu or a drink for example. Some of the attitudes I saw towards other guests, was very poor. When we paid for our dinner, our 35 Tunisian Denar meal, suddenly became 45, clearly the rest was going to be pocketed so we refused to pay the extra fee that came out of no where. To be brutally honest, that was the worst customer service we had experienced in a hotel to date. Overall the guests at the hotel we fine but there were some very drunk guests, literally falling over and stumbling everywhere, with one girl was so drunk, she didn't even realize her boob was hanging out of her bikini. We were so happy to get out of there when we checked out.. The worst hotel we had stayed in in Tunisia.

I had a really lovely stay at this hotel during my holiday. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome and well taken care of. I have to say a big thank you to Mortada at reception – he was so kind, always smiling, and really helpful any time I had a question. It’s rare to meet someone that friendly and professional at the same time! Also, a huge shoutout to the manager Sami – honestly one of the nicest people I’ve met in hospitality. He was always around, making sure everyone was happy and comfortable. You can tell he takes pride in his work and truly cares about the guests. That really made a difference. The food was great too – fresh, tasty, and with plenty of options every day. I especially enjoyed the breakfast! Overall, the whole stay was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable. It felt like the staff genuinely wanted us to have a good time, and we really did. Would definitely recommend it and I’d be happy to come back again!

Just got back from Hotel Libery and already missing the glorious weather. I have been to a lot of all inclusive but Hotel Liberty's Animation team are amazing. Big shout out to Zidane and Hamza, they made us laugh all holiday. They start at 10am right through to midnight, always something to join in with if you want to participate. If your feeling more chilled then thats fine with them too. I particularly liked the aqua gym and the lads liked the darts. The hotel itself is a litte bit isolated, which we didn't mind as we only went for 5 nights but you can get a taxi into Monastir if you want to mix it up. The beach bar is great only a 2 minute walk and all inclusive beer and soft drinks available. We went out of season so only one restaurant open but from 1st July a la carte starts. However food choices still good at lunch and dinner, breakfast could have had more variety not much fruit. Overall the staff make the hotel, very friendly and always helpful.
