We stayed here for a wedding that was at St. Macartans Cathedral. The hotel is very elegant, the front desk staff was very nice, informative, and helpful. She helped us get into our room early since we were tired from traveling all day. The bed was one of the most comfortable that I’ve ever slept in. The bathroom had a shower and separate tub. The restaurant onsite was fabulous with good food and drink options. There’s plenty of free parking. You can easily walk to the cathedral and town center. We also drive 15 minutes to Castle Leslie Estate.

Part of a group that just returned from a short break. Staff were nothing short of amazing. All went the extra mile to help and we were made to feel extremely welcome. Room was spacious, very large, excellent bathroom, and extremely clean. Between the group, 7 different mains were ordered during the stay, and all were top class. The pool and jacuzzi was also fantastic. Company also has an extremely positive ethos. Rewarded with a 5.00 voucher (to be used at bar or restaurant) for reducing laundry (towels). This was to assist in the greener objective. Additionally, as a parent of disabled children, to see the hotel employ disabled individuals was nothing short of outstanding. Looking forward to returning in the future!

Absolutely loved my stay the Xmas decorations was fabulous the staff are super friendly and the rooms are so cozy and the food is amazing I never stayed anywhere as nice highly recommended it if you are looking somewhere I will be back again in the future

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in November. We used it as a base for researching our Family Tree in the local area. Our room was a good size with an en-suite complete with bath and walk in shower. We ate in the restaurant every evening and the menu had lots to offer and all our meals were lovely. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice. We used the pool once and we enjoyed the inside and outside jacuzzi as well as the sauna and steam room. All in all it is a lovely hotel.

I had a great bed and breakfast stay in this hotel. I arrived for lunch for 2. I ordered the breaded mushrooms and pulled pork burger. Both of which were delicious. I then went to the spa for 4.30. I met Kate who gave a tour of the leisure facilities. She gave me a facial spa treatment. She did a great job. She was kind, friendly and made me feel welcomed. I then went and had dinner at 8. Had the breaded mushrooms again and a pizza. Again the food was class. Compliments to the chef! I then had breakfast the next day which was class. I look forward to returning to the hillgrove.

The Hillgrove Hotel was a wonderful venue, the hotel itself is quite a nice building, spacious, very well equipped for a disabled traveler, the staff are super nice in every part of the hotel: reception, bar, pool, breakfast and restaurant facilities. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. It was great that the swimming pool had a disabled changing room, and so close to the entrance and steps to the pool. Gorgeous food in the restaurant and bar. Really enjoyed our stay

Lovely place for a two day break. The staff are excellent. The rooms are comfortable. The food in the bar was very very tasty and the serving staff were second to none. We were there at Halloween and the children were entertained while the adults could enjoy food and refreshments in the bar. The hotel is so well managed.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful in the lead up to our stay, they were brilliant, especially Sharon! We had a great stay overall and the bed was quite possibly the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Would gladly book in again in the future :)
