I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but my mind was put to rest when we arrived at the Olive Press Hotel. Our room was small, but perfect for our stay. Let's face it, you don't go on holiday to spend your time in your room. We could not fault the cleanliness and everyday our room was serviced with clean towels. Our bedding was changed on a regular basis too. If you are expecting luxury, then forget it. We come to Greece, because we want rustic, not 5 star comforts. Whilst the room, lacks tea making facilities, it does have a refrigerator, so go prepared with a travel kettle and you can have your morning cuppa. The only thing I missed was having some private outside space. There are a number of rooms that have a private balcony, but these are at a premium and I am not sure they are really worth the extra cost. Having said that, there is plenty of tables and chairs outside the rooms in the courtyard and restaurant areas, so we were never left wanting. Breakfast is adequate, with enough choice for everyone's dietary requirements. Yes, it’s simple, but there is nothing wrong with that. If you want a full English then go somewhere else. The staff at the hotel were wonderful and friendly. There was one exception, but their job didn't really involve interaction with the guests, so it is an observation, not a criticism. If you want a true Greek experience, then visit the Olive Press Hotel in Molivos. We certainly would recommend a stay there. The location is perfect, right by the sea, there are plenty of sunbeds and just a stroll from the old town itself. One thing is certain, we will be back!
