The Crown Hotel ★★★

📍 Crown Hotel, Park St, Exford

"Great family run hotel, highly recommended. My wife and I booked a room for two nights and had a great stay. There is plenty of free on site car parking, everyone was very welcoming and pleasant and the bar was busy with locals as well as hotel guests on both Friday and Saturday night (which I think is always a good sign) We had room number 7, which is a large room and has a huge comfortable bed and a good shower in the en suite, with a lovely view over the village green."

Premier Inn Minehead ★★★
"Apartamentos de la habitación. El desayuno buffet era bueno como siempre. Nos dormimos muy bien. La única cuestión era que se les cobraron £8 por el coste del estacionamiento por noche cuando la mayoría de los principales establecimientos ofrecen estacionamiento gratuito. Nos encontró que la tarifa no era muy razonable."

Dunkery Beacon Country House ★★★★
"Well this accommodation did not disappoint. It was immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the view was stunning. We were upgraded to one of the four poster rooms with a separate sitting room and it suited our needs well. The upgrade was volunteered by the proprietors and was not sought. What a delight it was though. The rooms were warm and there were spare blankets, bath robes and quality toiletries. I think whichever room we had would have been a very positive experience. Breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice, fresh fruit juices, delightful coffee. The full English was very nicely cooked, as was the scrambled egg muffin we also tried. The proprietors were charming, parking and situation was idyllic. One of my favourites, a small thing but so welcome, was the availability of fresh milk in a fridge in reception. The beverages in the room were first class all round. I can highly recommend this for a stay and we hope to revisit in the future."

The Crown Hotel ★★★
"Fantastic hotel. We stayed for one night and couldn’t fault anything. Older style but clean and very comfortable. Superb bed. We had an excellent dinner (ribs and lamb tagine) and one of the best breakfasts at a hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even let us recharge our e-bikes in the secure shed (former stables). Great location to explore Exmoor as it’s on the doorstep. Highly recommended."

The Rest and Be Thankful Inn ★★★★
"I wouldn’t mind the cheap dated room and poky bathroom cupboard and utterly shagged mattress except… Several rooms back onto noisy kitchen fan and a refrigeration unit which kicks in regularly all night, no good in summer when you need window open. And the toilet regurgitates number twos when next door flushes or has a shower. Plus side, room was clean, breakfast was fine and shower was good."

The Royal Oak Exmoor ★★★★
"We received a very warm welcome from our hosts. We were staying in the cottage next door for the weekend so it was a very convenient location to go for a drink or for a meal. We had dinner on the Friday night which was lovely with plenty of choice. They kept the kitchen open as we were late arriving for which we were very grateful. We also had Sunday lunch which was amongst the best I’ve ever eaten. It’s a lovely pub and also has rooms so would be very happy to stay there next time"

Yarn Market Hotel ★★★
"Thoroughly enjoyable second stay at YMH as part of a small walking group. Compact bedroom but everything functioned as it should. Happy with food at breakfast and dinner. Drinks reasonably priced. Owner went out of his way to provide complimentary soup, bread, hot drinks when we returned from a particularly wet & windy walk! Would definitely visit again."

"A perfect stay in a lovely hotel. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. They are refreshingly pet friendly, so our doggy felt as welcome as we did. Our room was lovely and clean well and equipped. The evening meal was really very good indeed (lamb three ways and beef short rib) and the service was outstanding. We will certainly stay again."

"James & Jane no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros. Genuinas personas.. viajamos todos de Inglaterra y Escocia & este es de lejos el mejor lugar para permanecer. Excepcional. La calidad de las habitaciones y los suplementos son de primera clase y el desayuno es segundo a ninguno. No me gustaría quedarme en otro lugar."
