Waverley Bed & Breakfast

Steve and Di were very welcoming during our stay with them back in May of this year. Their B&B is neat and tidy, well situated for the high street, seafront, and railway station, and breakfast each morning was uniformly of a high standard. Steve went out of his way to find me some dedicated space for an important Zoom call. S & D were both genuinely warm and friendly throughout, and we felt quite at home here. Thank you for a great stay.

We stayed at the Waverley for two nights and couldn't have wished for better comfort and hospitality. We stayed at the top of the house in room 12 (a twin room with en-suite bathroom) which was sizeable, comfy, immaculately clean and had a great shower! We had a 7am start on the first morning of our weekend stay but the owners accommodated us by getting up early to make sure we could have a cooked breakfast before we left - and the breakfasts are great. You can have a fabulous full English with proper coffe that'll leave you set up for the day! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts; halfway through our 5-hour journey home (we live a long way from Minehead) I realised that I'd left my phone charger in the room. I phoned the Waverley the following morning and they agreed to post it back for me, refusing my offer to pay the postage. In brief then, this place sets the highest possible standards for a British B&B and I can't recommend it highly enough. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Lovely little B&B - spotlessly clean, lovely rooms, ideal position near the seafront. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was good and plenty to keep you full till dinner. Easy on street parking right outside and lots of places to eat within 5 mins walk - highly recommend this B&B and the wheelhouse restaurant just around the corner.

From the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcome and very comfortable. The room was clean and fresh. We slept well as the bed was comfortable and then had one of the best full English breakfasts. Would highly recommend to anyone this B&B and we will be back.

Located within walking distance of the beach and Butlins. The hosts are two ex Royal Navy sailors - you can take the sailor out of the navy but not the navy out of the sailor! All very ship-shape! On road parking that may get full in summer during the day. The only flaw is that one way system of Clerkenwell Road takes some getting used to! The place is immaculatey clean, yet with a homely feel. Comfortable residence lounge and good dining room, with tables nicely laid and plenty of cereals, fruit, fruit juice and tea and coffee, and great breakfast. No fish option though!!! Rooms are wither en-suite or a private bathroom just out side of room - no shared bathrooms!! Good mattresses and pillows and rooms all have flat screen rv/radio - and are very clean and attended to daily. Good in room tea and coffee making facility. Could not fault it. Looking forward to a return visit.
