Golden West Motor Inn

Pulled in on Boxing Day after travelling all day, I was towing a camp trailer and enquired about a room for myself as well as said trailer, not a problem, was told by Nicky, take room 1 which is up against Reception where I wasn’t in anyone else’s way - let the show begin, I said. As I was reversing the trailer into the spot - nice and slow, I was going alright for a novice, I was just about there when I noticed,who I gather was Mr Nicky, in my mirrors, ever so kindly directing me on how far to come back - what a legend!! Mind you, it’s not real straight but it’s in I get into room to turn the aircon on as it was a stinker, there on the bench is a desk fan to keep the cool air moving - absolutely brilliant and ever so thoughtful. It is totally the little things that make a place special and I for one will be back. Thanks guys for thinking of your guests and not being the same run of the mill Motel 👍

Fantastic stay. Great price. Older style accomodation beautifully presented. Bed was very comfortable. Owners are lovely and very helpful. Rooms had everything we needed and we will be back. Highly recommend this place.

Only stopped for a night on a very cold night with negative temperature. . The owner knocked on the door with extra blankets in case we found it too cold. We didn’t need then but it was a great touch. The included continental breakfast was a surprise and most welcome. While this is an older motel it was clean and comfortable. we would stay again as it was centrally located and we felt welcome.a

Just lovely - clean and spacious room, right in the middle of town, but quiet and in easy walking distance to shops/bakery/hotels. Bonus that breakfast was provided. Some motel rooms have enerything in them required but are not designed to be spacious. This one is. Great stay and we will definitely stay therre again.

At $89 a night for 2 adults, a comfy bed, largish ensuite , good central location & breakfast, this is an ideal place for an overnight stay. IGA across the road & good food at the "Aussie" pub close by.

Friendly hosts, who are not only incredibly welcoming, but more than happy to go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable. The rooms are not just very clean (with very comfortable beds) each room includes quality extras and homely touches that are very pleasant. It is easy to access, and in an excellent location. Have stayed here twice now and will do so when passing through in future!
