I was on a riding trip starting and arranged from the Kalnoky estate in june-24. We were 7 riders from different countries in Europe riding for 6 days. The trip was expencive for what you receive. I’ve been on similar trips in my country , Norway , for half the price. Sadly the horses were skinny and tired, some of them with wounds, they had dirty, bad stables and no place to lay down- they were not washed after a day riding and had little to drink during the day. The owner , the countess Anna, was offended and mad when she received our complaints and had no back- up plan if horses were injured during the trip. They charged us for tea, water, welcomesnaps put on the table and transport offered were ridicolusly expencive. When going home everyone had to leave at 6.30 because they had only one car to transport us. Thus we stayed up to 8 hours in the airport before the plane left. Almost impossible with other transport in the area that does not offer taxiservice. Had to pay 70 euros to go from Brasov to Miklosvar, a 40 minutes trip. The estate and area is beautiful with wonderful natureviews, but difficult to experience and sadly dominated by owners only wanting to take money from tourists, with bad service to offer. Warning- check your bill carefully before you leave as some experienced extras put on wrongly!!! Not recommended for animal- loving people!!
