Laqua by the Sea

A wonderful stay in Laqua by the sea. Everything was absolutely perfect! Our room was lovely and the breakfast was wonderful. The Wellness suite was very relaxing, after a hard day sightseeing. A special mention to Roberta, Luigi and Gaia, all of whom ensured that our holiday went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, booking taxis, arranging restaurants and having the local mini-bus pick us up. We also very much appreciated the owner coming to pick us up and take us to Laqua Countryside for our special meal. We had a fantastic holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this boutique hotel

Staff super warm, welcoming and helpful! From the receptionists to the masseuse, super willing to help. Good choice of spa treatments, well realized. Breakfast is nice (though the piece of paper to make your choice everyday is just too big, not very environnemental friendly). HOWEVER, should you look for some privacy: this is not your place! There is only a curtain between terrasses/ jacuzzis so you can see and hear everything. About the noise, the insulation is insuffisant: if people are sitting and chatting in the communal area, if new guests are arriving, you hear everything and canno’t sleep. We took this hotel to rest and sadly this was not a proper rest. Also about privacy and resting: the door of the toilet is made of glass and is super noisy to open and close (so you easily wake up your partner when using them during the night). The shower is opened/ canno’t close and is straight in front the door of the bedroom…

Arrivi a Laqua by the dea, con grandi aspettative, date le immagini che trovi su internet e da come viene pubblicizzata… La Posizione è veramente unica, peccato ci sia solo quello. Mi aspettavo di piu, tanto di piu. Ma pubblicizzare molto un aspetto vincente della camera e dell'hotel ma poi non poterne beneficiare, crea veramente un divario tra aspettativa e realta troppo ampio. Camera carina, ma nulla di che, il bagno veramente poco pratico e privo di privacy, con porte di vetro che non si chiudono nemmeno, inoltre dove c’è lo specchio c’è poca luce e nessuna presa elettrica!!!Colazione veramente minimal per il tipo di albergo e di scarsa qualità. L’oscura te della finestra è manuale è squallido, per non parlare delle tendine che dividono le varie piscine private. Parlare di spa forse un po troppo, diciamo un angolo di relax. Unica nota positiva, il panorama e il personale sempre cordiale, disponibile e professionale.

The hotel is nice and confortable. The staff helps you with everything. They answer quickly by whatsaap. The only thing we didn't like was breakfast, lack of choice and always delivered at the room. The bread was not fresh.

If you’ve ever been fortunate enough to stay at Laqua by the Lake, then don’t come to Laqua by the Sea; conversely, if you’ve only visited this outpost in Meta, then don’t let it put you off, as Laqua by the Lake is fabulous. Laqua by the Sea may share its name, but that’s about it. Located in Meta, a dull suburb of Sorrento, the views may be fabulous, but both the area and hotel disappoint. indeed, calling it a hotel is not really correct, as it’s more like a bed and breakfast, with a very poor breakfast to boot. Bottled orange juice combines with other dull fare to provide a poor start to the mornings. The bedrooms are tiny, with bathrooms more likely to be found on a small boat than in a proper hotel. No lift means carrying heavy bags up and down steps, as, being a gentleman, I didn’t want to ask the female staff to do this; all the staff very friendly but certainly nowhere near the standard to be found at their stunning hotel by Lake Orta. I wouldn’t be so critical if the two places didn’t operate under the same brand, which I believe is a mistake, only likely to disappoint, or thrill, whichever one you happen to visit. Jacuzzi on the balconies only add to a health and safety nightmare, and I managed to walk straight in to it, fully dressed, believing it was glass, being so still; my bad I guess. I will stick to my wonderful memories of Laqua by the Lake

We had a fantastic stay at Laqua by the Sea. We appreciated being in Meta slightly outside the busier areas of the Amalfi Coast. We reserved two deluxe rooms with spas on the patio and could not have been happier to relax and unwind at the end of a very long trip. The service was fantastic from the time of booking through the end of our stay and we truly enjoyed our experience at the Laqua Countryside restaurant. We hope to be back!
