There are college level sporting events within walking distance at Concord University. There are four waterfalls within an hours drive and water fun to be had by all, at three different nearby lakes. We always recommend Pipestem State Park because it has so many activities like: horseback riding, zip lining, splash park, lake with paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, and a beach area with inflatables in the water.
